Decent episode, Jaida was the best. Jackie made a great impact and fuck Jeff Goldblum his ignorant ass and his fake tears. I’m glad that Sherry and GigI were in the bottom with the same shtick and it’s refreshing to see other queens rise.

Not that many funny moments in the debate. It was ok, I liked Crystal, Jackie and Jaida the most.

Ugh, just glad Widow is gone. She reached the point where she was just stuck in this resigned angry 'what else do I have to do?' place. It just became uncomfortable to watch and clearly no one needed another week of that. Give Jackie a hug you hateful bitch.

I thought they were all on various shades of good in the challenge. Some were better but nobody fell really flat. Compare that to S4's with Phi Phi and Dida.

Jackie came out of this episode really strongly in spite of her placement, though I was worried for her in the lip sync. And I felt bad for Widow. :(

Glad Jaida won. The competition seems to be becoming a bit more even.

Raven was the highlight of that episode for sure!

Anyway, that main challenge was terrible. Didn’t really raise a titter once and Jaida was lucky to claim the win- that “look over there” joke wasn’t funny the first time, let alone twice.

They were all universally good on the runway, though, but I thought Widow’s was actually the best outfit. They clearly don’t pay any attention to the runway in the judging now. Anyway, right person went- Jackie’s lip sync was really good, whereas Widow didn’t embody this song at all. Her take on it didn’t remotely fit. Also I’ve not had the hatred for Widow some have until this week- that petulant attitude on the runway was awful to watch. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Gigi being shit the past two weeks has opened things up, but I still think she can come back from this.

Top Six Rank based on how they’re doing with my own preferences in brackets:

1. Jaida (3)
2. Heidi (1)
3. Sherry (?)
4. Crystal (5)
5. Gigi (4)
6. Jackie (2)

A rather funny debate but the episode ended on such a somber way. I really don’t understand how Jackie ended up in the bottom? It should have been Gigi.

Loved Jaida and Crystal. Glad Widow is gone now.

Rachel Bloom was my favourite thing about that episode, she fitted in so well.
Jackie was great in lip sync less so in challenge. Jaida and Heidi made me laugh the most in challenge

Oh dear Jeff Goldblum. Sometimes 'national treasures' really are best off keeping their mouths SHUT.

That was a weird episode. I enjoyed Jaida and I really felt for Widow, I totally got the Kamala Harris vibe she was going for, but there just weren't enough jokes. It was the right time for her to go, but I don't think she's so much petulant as extremely self-critical.

Great episode for Jackie, that lip sync was wonderful and her story about her aunt was very touching.

Love that this show is now 100% a campaign video for the democrats at this point. :D

That challenge just wasn't funny at all. When it finished, I assumed they were all gonna get a bollocking on stage. I'm glad Jaida won, because she's my fave after Heidi, but her 'look over there' deflections could have just as easily landed her in the bottom, depending on what way Ru and the producers wanted the contest to go.

At the same time time, I thought their critique of Jackie was off. She brought a fleshed-out character to the challenge, had an easy-to-spot gag, and stuck with it - which is a lot more than all of the others managed. Yet they called it repetitive. But at least it wasn't repeating former glories, like Sherry, Gigi, and even Heidi in all honesty.

The challenge ended up the worst one all season.

But the episode was saved by the runway, the conversations on the runway, and the extended political conversation in the workroom, too.

Raven's pussy was on fire. And perhaps the pussy challenge should have been burned, possibly the most toe curling since Elektra in a nappy.

Not a good episode for me really. I didn't pick up on Jeff being awful, but I'm in no rush to re-evaluate.

For once the serious part of the workroom talk seemed natural and not forced at all. Jackie’s story is one that many non-native Americans can relate to, and the one about Crystal’s parents was a good one too (how people that normally seem good can be Trump supporters at the same time).

I'm surprised everyone else in here hated the debate - I thought it was great fun! "LOOK OVER THERE!" FLOORED me. And WHAT a lip sync from Ms Cox as well at the end there too :disco:

Jeff Goldblum was serving 100% blank profile pic on Grindr with a "TRANS ONLY" bio all the way through though :D The Islam comment was really annoyingly "just asking questions!!" off, as it's really easy to see how the same topic of whether Jackie felt any conflict in her background could have been raised much more carefully and sensitively without coming off like "oh, but isn't ISLAM BAD?". Jackie's response was incredible though, and I'm inclined to take Goldblum at face value that he was just being dumb rather than meaning any harm by it going by how he responded to it all. If he's got any sense he'll put out an apology today.

I’m not usually for optics just for the sake of it, and obviously it shouldn’t come into consideration in the way for the judging in general, but it’s a shame that the only two ”diverse” takes on the stars and stripes theme ended up in the bottom.

excellent mini challenge. jackie was on fire but she looked shit as usual. gigi was my second favourite.

the level of political discourse was a little depressing.

oh wow. the maxi challenge is awful. really awful. i honestly don't know who did worst.

glad the widow is gone.

and most importantly, how is jeff goldbloom so wonderful and fucking hot?

I thought Jeff Goldblum was a dick. I hate people who come on the show unprepared. Asking a Drag Queen how they tuck is such a trash move.

I thought the question on Islam and homosexuality was misplaced, but Jackie handled it beautifully. It really was her show.

Exactly this for me. I didn't understand the judging at all.

The Cats gag threw me a bit. Surely this was filmed months before the film came out.

Though I guess the writing was on the wall as soon as the trailer dropped with that one...

surprised everyone hated goldbloom. you don't hear everything being said so you don't know how the full conversation went but what's more important he was never mean spirited and he seemed genuine throughout. he's aloof, sure, but that's what's so charming about him. at least for me.

also, heidi's whistling?

and i still maintain that main challenge was terrible.

ps i've just finished listening to his (jazz) album from last year featuring people like fiona apple, anna calvi and miley cyrus (:gross:)

Okay, I definitely must have drifted off for that part :D

I’d quite forgotten that BRM-Doppelgänger (:disco:) Aiden Zhane was even IN this season :side-eye:

Did I blink and miss it, or did they thankfully not bother trying to shove Dahlia's brocc-ally in again this episode?

It was funny the first time, but now? So boring and considering her attitude on the show she shouldn’t get more airtime.

I was trying to work out what Michelle was doing at the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.

I'd question whether it was funny the first time, to be honest.

They saw it coming with Miss Vanjie, but the broccoli gag is shit, no matter how hard they try.

Dahlia was beautiful but with a lousy attitude, and brocc-ally wasn't even her idea, was it? She was given the line, wasn't she?

Vanjie... Miss Vanjie just happened, and then Mercedes Iman Diamond's Opulence You Earn Everything was weak, but not without charm. But this? Woeful. Why they have pinned their hopes on that I've no idea.

Gigi got lucky AGAIN. That’s two weeks in a row she has been saved from the bottom 2. I’m beginning to think she isn’t all that. Though she is still the most likely winner.

The right queen definitely went home, though. I’d had enough of her tired shit.
