Watch the next ASFM have a really restrictive theme slapped onto it that scuppers all of us picking things at this early stage :D

PS does anyone fancy sharing their nearly-weres? I was so close to submitting this as my entry, but I decided against it because I've been banging on about her for the past year or so (AND she was my avatar until today) so it would've been very obvious I'd sent it:

In retrospect, I reckon it would've done better than what I sent :tongueout:

The one that I REALLY regret not giving any points and it's been a grower is the Jennifer Paige song.
 
If I were to win... then I would definitely be happy hosting. But also have a great song to enter next time so don’t mind trying again as a contestant either.

also: suggestion, as much as I wasnt the biggest fan of us having ‘countries’, can all the returning contestants please keep their same countries next time? I feel a real affinity with the Vatican now!

I guess that’s the thing about text based gay chat lounge boards, we say what we say, and it can be read a variety of ways, so we just hope for the best and if it goes south we can just blame everyone for not getting our dry humour/sarcasm/irony etc

I feel like my post is coming across as a bit of a mic drop now :D whoops

I think there is weird stuff in jpop, but most of it is just regular pop (and lately just sounds like Kpop anyway)

In fact if people listened to the Japanese top 10 you’d probably think it was rather bland!

I did quite well in ASFM one year with a Japanese girl band, so I guess all isn’t lost

I don't see why you cant have an entry and host like the real deal. Its not like you can really rig the results since everyone knows their own votes (unless you vote last and change the outcome but whatever).
 
I LOVE j-pop and k-pop and thought Diddy’s song was good, but not the best representative of that genre. I think it got a lot of stick because of where it came in the running order - it’s absolutely EXHAUSTING trawling through 31 songs and by the time you reach the last unless it’s LIQUID GOLD you just don’t have the mental energy.

definitely - i think there are so many more instant j and k-pop songs that diddles could have entered
