It’s not Friday. It’s Friday

Dannii kept me awake ALL night last night. Now I've got a zoom work meeting at 10am (even though they know I've got no one to look after the kids) and then another zoom meeting tonight for my youth group. Think I'll be ded by 9:30pm

Now Kylie and Dannii are squabbling over playing with my flower pots, they don't want to share :argh:

I spent a small fortune on plants yesterday. I need to get potting.

*jel* what did you buy?

I went on a late night nappy run to aldi yesterday, I was hoping the wilko next door would be open but it wasn't.

8 hardy geranium for planting under my cotinus. I worry it may be a little TOO shady for them to flourish, but we'll see. And if they do well, they should choke the weeds.

Then I also bought some blue felicia for ground cover in a sunnier spot in the garden. Now I've cleared a lot of weeds and pruned back a lot of overgrown shrubs, the garden is looking quite bare in places. I've potted up a few pots of varying sizes and placed them in the gaps to give a bit of interest here and there for now, but I'd like to get some perennials in.

I also bought quite a few snapdragons. Probably my favourite bedding plants.

I also want to get a couple of statement hydrangea. Something else Madonna is utterly wrong about.

I am excitedly awaiting my new GreenPan :disco:
Oh I need to do some pan shopping. I got a great new one from TK Maxx, love it but I was a size queen when buying it and it's a bit too big for our hob :(

The GreenPan range looks lovely.

My mother bought me one of those Whatever pans a few weeks back. It's proper good.

GreenPan are marvellous. I've had a wee frying pan and a couple of saucepans for a few years and they are still pristine despite getting some proper battering. Today a BIG frying pan is arriving <3

They are listening to us girls. Close your mouths (and your legs).

Today is my first day back at work since 28 February. I'm working from home and I spent 2 fruitless trying to log into my work laptop to no avail, and I am now on my fourth call to the IT Help Desk. It seems my work laptop is guffed, as the wifi isn't working but our office is completely closed at the moment so they are not able to fix this issue. I managed to get into the email via my own laptop but I still can't access half my programs or files. I'm on a phased return to work so done for the day now. All I did was go through about 50 emails!

I ended up buying a 10 m cable so I could plug it up and get properly on the VPN :argh:

Not gonna work for me, as my router is two floors down on the ground floor and my office is in the attic! I think they are gonna have to send me out a new laptop. Everyone was all set up properly when the lockdown happened, but as I was off sick I was missed out and now they have no support facilities to do so. Oh well. I can only do what I can.

I just got feedback on a job interview for Bristol. They said it was a great interview but what held me back was when they asked what I'd say if they offered the job right then and my response was "I'm very positive about it but might take a day to think about it".

It's so obvious in retrospect that it made me sound indecisive but I could kick myself. :(

Yeah it would be really cool. :(

I've had interviews with schools in Madrid and Marbella but won't hear about them for weeks so it's just a bit gutted after doing so much prep work for this one.

Stop second-guessing yourself Chlammy! Sounds to me like they didn't have anything other to say because it was such a great interview, they said so, but they have to choose something bad to knock you down a bit so they chose that one thing because it was all they had. If you'd have replied "oh, I'd snatch your hand off if you offered me the job" they'd probably have said you were too impulsive and that's what held you back.

Thanks @Floppet. My friend pointed out that if I'd have told them that I absolutely would say yes right away then it would have been worse if they had offered me it and I'd told them that actually I wasn't 100 percent and needed to think.

Just getting cabin fever in Belfast at the minute.

You’re teaching right? I’d want someone who considers thingS first to do that job.
