Back on topic, it is nice to see the general feeling is no. I do think Moopy is past the phase where we tear strips off each other.

There's definitely a New Seekers 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing' feeling about the place these days which is pleasing.

Yeah tbh I think I enjoy the Moopy games we do a lot more. I think they've kinda filled MR's social gap a lot better.

The thing is, @SDF, some might have me down as a facially disfigured, bewildered internet freak who hides behind a stream of blather, but I’m a giver. Got an award for it! Can’t stop givin’! Can’t stop carin’! :disco:

I enjoyed the Knockout Cup even more than Moopyrate to be honest where the top 64 were put in groups of 8 and we rated them 4,3,2,1 for the top 4... and eliminated them that way. Often produced very different winners.
 
Genuine question though... why did it stop? Did something specific happen at one Moopyrate that stopped the next one happening? I have no recollection of it disappearing apart from the fact that it just wasn't there any more one day.
 
It was declining in popularity for a while, wasn't it? And the last one was an embarrassment in terms of number of voters. Don't recall if there were any actual scandals or forced arguments within them.

Weird how it just suddenly lost interest from people. It really was a MOOPY INSTITUTION. People got too woke and sensitive probs. :D

I genuinely don't think I read the last two or three. I was only posting in music/movie/tv forums for quite a few years.

It didn't happen suddenly. It declined in popularity over a number of years.
