What should we do with the final 50?

Whilst this is clearly towards the bottom end of the 50 for me, there's very little in this line up that I actually hate. I hope it's going to be on soon.
Yeah I'm angrily shouting at the TV how everything is too low but i think at this stage it just can't be helped.

SO did Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-lite have the actual singer in the video, unlike it seems most of these songs?

Come and feel my energy, let's be as one in soul and mind.
I'll fill your world with ecstasy, touch all your dreams deep down inside.

1992, UK, No. 1 smash in 1994! Sexy sample stats are BACK BACK BACK! We’ve got The House Crew’s ‘All We Wanna Do is Dance’ and The Winstons’ ‘Amen, Brother’ up in this bitch. This was selected by Mixmag as one of their 30 best house anthems. Baby D means ‘tiny penis’, although in this context it’s actually the nickname of lead singer Dee Fearon, whose daughter is Steph Fearon, one of the contestants on Over the Rainbow. Bet you’re away to YouTube now to see which one she was – the one juddering uncontrollably on a Formica throne is Andrew Lloyd Webber, which isn’t her.

This was exactly one place above Deee-Lite in the rate, the vote, and here. Love it.

Not bad for such a hardcore jungle anthem :)

Although it pains me to post a clip of Deee-Lite with the wrong spelling.

I always enjoyed the story shared among fans that LK (possibly Lorraine Kelly when you hear it) was slumped in a bathtub at some house party mumbling about having an amazing solo song ready to go called Frequency of Love.

Sigh.

It's Felix!

1992, UK, No. 6 smash! Felix AKA Francis Wright, was the driving force behind the Hardbag movement with the release of this track. Sampling Jomanda’s ‘Don’t You Want My Love’ (And even occasionally credited as ‘Felix featuring Jomanda’), it was remixed by King Rollo off Faithless, and Hooj Choons founder Red Jerry. It was sampled on David Guetta and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Wet’, and featured in one of those fucking weird Tango adverts from the 90s – the one where the man takes all his clothes off and offers to fight someone on the White Cliffs of Dover (It’s real, look it up).

It CAN'T be Felix. We're not even in the Top 40. Ultra Nate hasn't been on. I demand a recount.

Feel it... I like it, I have the single somewhere, and it's so damn recognizable, but not a true classic for me.

Ultra Natë seemed about 20 years older than she actually was. Even on totp doing New Kind of Calpul she was quite the drama teacher frump.

1998, Italy/USA, No. 1 smash! Here’s one of those songs about dropping a house on some bitch you don’t like. Ten a penny back in the 90s. The song this covers is literally called ‘Drop a House’, and it’s by Urban Discharge. I’m reliably informed that the hook in this one is borrowed from ‘Can You Feel It’ by a band called ‘Jack’s on Five’ – I’ve not heard of them but I’m sure none of them turned into massive paedos. The ‘chimney’ referred to here is not, as my friend believed, a slang term for a black eye – the song really isn’t that deep, which is what makes it mint. Incidentally, I bought The Tamperer’s follow up single. I can’t remember what it was called but my life was about 30% better for a good week.

Ahhh Tamperer! Such student memories. I think I had to ditch this from my early votes and was quite upset so yay for top 40 :disco:

If the Moon in this Darude background picture was really that big and close, the tides would be fucked. On reflection, I'm glad it isn't.
