Don’t get me started on Tesco Express / Sainsbury’s Local etc stores where they bump the price up on all items over their cost in their supermarkets!

So this is now a nationwide thing in Scotland? :o

huns I know you’re sad I’m leaving, but a nationwide mourning is not what I expected x

I haven't seen any panic buying, but my barber was just saying the bookings for this week have been insane as people get panic hair cuts (of which I'm very much guilty as charged)

I think it's been about a year since I last had a haircut.

The only place I've heard of panic buying is claims of it in the papers - they're not fooling anyone trying to seed it this time around.

An event that was optimistically trying to run in November of this year has moved to November of next year, and I was just saying the other day "well that's a good idea, far end of next year, things should be back to normal by then" - meh, who was I kidding? :( It'll probably still be dragging on somehow.

Honestly if the whole of next year is a write off too, I'm going to start to get tempted to find a tall building.

THIS. I was just getting used to things being 8% normal and here we go again. I can’t fucking stand it. Not even another silly alias is enough to distract me. No capitals could ever be shouty enough. Perhaps we should all fill our handbags with heroin and have an online overdose party. ACHTUNG @Penelope!

Also I think our lovely party should be sponsored and presided over by MADAME. I feel sure she’d approve. We can all channel the final scene of Valley Of Love :disco:

Well, that's because they have a smaller surface area so can't sell masses of shit at really low margins. Basically, the problem is the supermarkets selling things at such low rates ANYWAY. We should all realise the value of food and that poor farmers can't live on the 5p a nectarine they probably get from Tesco...

Well that and inner city building rent costs.

The prospect of lockdown v2.0 is proper terrifying. Not sure my mental health could take any more, especially with winter closing in, meaning sitting in the garden and exercise are much less appealing.

Couldn't give a flying fig about the virus itself.

Johnson absolutely going for "it's your problem now". A disgraceful, repulsive piece of self-exculpation.
