Well I'm sorry but you're delusional. Turnout was not the problem with this election.
It absolutely is the problem with this and every election when there are vast swathes of people who DON'T VOTE, who could be up for grabs with the right candidate and platform.

I'm just going to throw in there that it's too early to tell whether Sanders would have done better or worse, and it's a question that is impossible to answer definitively either. The post election studies will probably offer just enough information that an argument could be made both ways on it.

Biden just needed a CATCHY SLOGAN and he’d have won by a landslide. He needed to appeal to more morons

Just checking in see how y'all are doing...

Although it looks like Biden could win without Pennsylvania... just.

More people than almost anytime before have voted and about half of them, despite everything, still wanted to keep Trump in office. Cancel this fucking horror show.
I know right? I mean last time you could talk of Trump creating a surprise, of the Dems underestimating him, of the polls being wrong, etc. This time it's a deliberate thought out choice.

I don't think Bernie would've won either but if Biden does lose, reading back those posts about a landslide is going to be hilarious.

Sadly, it looks like Joe is just too radically far left to get that decisive win. Bloomberg 2024!

Don't worry about it. The blue shift is going to be bigger there, and it is no longer absolutely essential to Biden anyway. At this point, I think he'll get it though.
So is it still a narrow win for Biden expected still? HOPEFULLY?

It was never about Biden being not left enough. It's more than he has one foot in the grave, and can barely make it through a speech, without you exhaling a sigh of relief that he didn't DIE halfway through. Even if he makes it through on the "he's not Trump" vote, this should never be used as a best practice approach to winning an election.

I mean this is 100% valid too.

Remember Obama? I miss Obama.

Have we given up on following actual results? Or is nothing coming in anymore? Does anyone know what's going on?

I have a lot of problems with the way Biden ran this campaign. It IS ridiculous that this came down to a visibly frail 78 year old man (but reminder - Sanders is EVEN OLDER)

But I genuinely can't imagine how any Democratic nominee would have done better. Trump is just a hideous cultural phenomenon, and he's tapped into the dumbness of our time.

My whole DC2020 campaign was about not trusting the polls and about how stupid it is to predict the outcome of an election based on any thing other than actual votes. That said, even *I* would predict Sanders would have been DECIMATED by Trump.

A Republican Senate hold and Trump running it this close in blue collar industrial regions is terrible, terrible news for the environment. The Dems will be terrified of enacting any meaningful reforms and virtually castrated on implementing them anyway. (If they win)

Well, at least four more years with Trump might accelerate the political integration of the EU and it means we will be able to travel freely between Mecca and Tel-Aviv, from the party to the after party we migrate.
