Charli XCX is a great gateway drug into PC Music / Hyperpop. It was a podcast breaking down one of her songs that opened my eyes to the genre properly and marked my beginning as a Stan.

Poor LIZ generally tends to GET IN THERE FIRST, then somebody else comes in and BORROWS HER IDEA and is far more successful with it :D

There was a rumoured feud between LIZ and Charli XCX once Charli hooked up with SOPHIE for Vroom Vroom to HUGE SUCCESS whilst poor LIZ was left as CHOPPED LIVER!
 
Okay I loved PANG! (Listened to it once and enjoyed sufficiently) but hadn't listened to this yet. :D loving it already! But already loved this song.

It beats any track from Andrea Corr's new Christmas album that's for sure.

Caroline Polachek - Breathless

Now this is very recent! Caroline's album Pang was produced by A. G. Cook and Danny L Harle, and this rather gorgeous Corrs cover is from the new rerelease.

Discovered this the other day. I love a bit of Caroline and loved this.
 
LIZ also recorded an AMAZING unreleased track called Sunscreen with SOPHIE, that was then rumoured to be BOUGHT by Eurovision legend TAMTA, whose non-vocal's replace most of POOR LIZ's on the briefly leaked new version. You couldn't make it up!

Sadly the LIZ version seems to have been removed from YouTube, it was v good too.

- the constant moving
- the manga
- the long bunches
- the 80s soundtrack beat
- the fact that I can understand not a word
