Saturday besieged by flies

I say that on one hand but I do find myself yearning cold dark Saturday nights with Strictly on the tv too.

Going to Blaise Castle Estate to Friendsfest for my friend’s birthday :shy:
Blaise Castle estate is lovely, and there are some beautiful walks through the woods. It is right next to a huge council estate though, so don't be disheartened if you approach it from the wrong way.

Just installed a full 12v solar power system in my camper and only started one small electrical fire.

We have to separate cans and bottles from paper and card, one bin for each. The binmen come round and both bins get emptied into the same lorry (which isn't compartmentalised) so it all gets mixed up anyway.
We have two types of bins in the neighborhood. 2 greens for garbage and 2 blues for any waste material that can be recycled .
The nearest town collects them every morning and since we are not more than 10 people living here, the system normally works fine.
But yes it's the same lorry that collects them here too.
However, when tourists flock in and garbage begin to be put in the blue ones, either because people are unaware of the colour designation or just because the green ones get full first, the nearest town council removes the blue ones and then threatens to never bring them back if we don't behave.

Don’t worry everyone I’m here, I came as soon as I heard 💦

I’m here, I’m queer, I’m drunk, get used to it

So your bins are shared between all of the 10 people and each house doesn't have their own personal bins? That wouldn't work at all around here, we already have bin wars when one of the flats opposite is accused of putting some of their rubbish in another flat's bin. When we put the wrong thing in one of the bins the binmen put a massive sticker on the bin that has pictures of the items allowed and they refuse to empty it until the offending item has been removed.

In other news it's 27c here today and far too hot to walk the dog. He's lying in the kitchen, panting so loudly I could hear him in the living-room and he hasn't even been anywhere. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with a thick layer of insulating fluffy hair underneath and coarse waterproof hair on top.

Where’s the daytime drunk Moopy thread, I’m so bored. I’m watching a concert uploaded by my fave Japanese boyband that I know nobody is interested in, while my washing’s going.

I had a Fish and Chips pizza from Dominos and it was shockingly great

Yes exactly, they're not meant to be my or someone else's bin they are the property of the town service that collects them and has them installed in central spots of each neighborhood for the corresponding households and visitors to use. We had a bin for just ourselves when I was living in Luton though, until someone took it and moved it outside his own house.

I know I’m just wiffling along to myself but this concert FUCKS, the hi-NRG and entirely context-free cover of YMCA bangs and it has a key change.

also I love the group leader, one of the most famous pin-ups here, and his name is ALAN. Somehow he is not in his 50s

It’s ‘only’ 26c here but I’m back in Calstock after a lovely walk sinking a few beers before going back and cooking a Caesar salad for tea :disco:

I think I probably would eat that fish and chip pizza. I assume it’s Japan only.
