Adele - 30

Greedy bitches. I don't think they're expecting to do anything chartwise since they according to their website everything seems to be selling out every 5 minutes :angry:

Oooh, artificial scarcity to boost demand.

According to Vogue US, the chorus goes: "Go easy on me baby / I was still a child / Didn’t get the chance to / Feel the world around me."

Adele also revealed the small list of producers she worked with for the album; including frequent collaborator Greg Kurstin (who wrote Hello), Max Martin and Shellback (Send My Love To Your New Lover), Tobias Jesso Jr (When We Were Young) and new addition Inflo - known for his work with Danger Mouse and Little Simz.

Easy On Me is also confirmed to have been produced by Kurstin, as is another track described as have a "sexy 70s groove" inspired by Marvin Gaye. The album's seven-minute-long closer, produced by Inflo, is described as being heavily influenced by the score of Breakfast At Tiffany's with a "whimsical" twist and the lyric: "All your expectations of my love are impossible.”

Finally, British Vogue details a song apparently sonically similar to electronic duo Goldfrapp, which Adele says is about "self-destruction."

Not to continue the conversation about her body, but I can’t stop laughing at the horrendous airbrush job on this pic. Who signed off on it?!?

Nice of Adele to help the guy out there, considering his request...

Now the seed has been sewn and we will live to reap the harvest. 38, a hyperpop extravaganza.

I cannot think of another singer I enjoy so much as a talk show guest and so little as an actual artist.

Love that image though. Very Cher, very Working Girl, and surprisingly not very life like after watching her instagram clips.

I think this quote from Vogue US is quite interesting. I’m not expecting a Lorde-style career tanker, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there aren’t many/any obvious big hits on this one. Sounds like she genuinely doesn’t want that, and fair enough really!

She avoided writing a certain kind of song for the next album, for instance. “There isn’t a bombastic ‘Hello,’ ” she tells me at one point. “But I don’t want another song like that. That song catapulted me in fame to another level that I don’t want to happen again. I’m not saying I’ve got ‘Hello’s in my pocket. I was just conscious that I didn’t want my story on this album to sound like that.”

she's in a position to sell bucketloads regardless. hopefully she takes a risk or two with later single choices

Is it weird that I’ve been waiting for this announcement purely to see if it’ll be chart competition for ABBA’s debut week?
