Saturday realises that one plus one does not always equal two!

If you do the sum 1.04 + 1.04 but only express your numbers to one decimal place, then you get 1.0 + 1.0 = 2.1

There’s a message in there somewhere.
Something like, don’t take everything we’re taught for granted.

Or bend life to the way you want it by using the 0.1 that most people don’t see.

That isn't 1+1 then, is it? Though having said that I never learned my times tables so am the last person to talk about maths :tongueout:

Good morning! I had to jump up early to unlock the front and back doors of the building for the binmen, and I'm supposed to be at a club night later that starts at 11pm. I find it very hard to have a nap during the day, so today is going to be great I can tell :eyes:

Ah, but it isn’t! The extra 0.04s are still there, but hidden from view. Life it all about finding those extra 0.04s that most of the world aren’t aware of then combining them to make something even greater

Unfortunately 1+1 will always be 2 because I have to work to two decimal places, 1.04 + 1.04 will always be 2.08.

Today I'm attending, under sufferance, the final dress fittings for the bride and bridesmaids. I'm thankful that the alterations place is only a few miles from me and I don't have to traipse all the way over to Blackpool again.

Mr F is still giving me the silent treatment after I slagged off his shoddy cleaning last night. Child.

2.4 + 2.4 = 4.8. If one rounds to the nearest whole number 2.4 becomes 2 and 4.8 becomes 5, so 2 + 2 = 5 is mathematically correct, although not arithmetically correct.

2.6 + 2.6 = 5.2 but if you round to the nearest ten then 0 + 0 = 10! SHEESH!

Wait until the Treasury says that a 0.4% monthly increase in the cost of living is mathematically zero then see what mathematic axioms you want to flush down the loo!

After all is said and done
One and one still is one

Sunshine is cracking the flags outside, it looks glorious, had to come back in the house and put my big coat on for Ridley's walk because it's bloody freezing.

It's glorious here as well, was thinking to take a walk to an abandoned factory area that is next to the sea (sounds horrible but it's photographically interesting), but I'll save this plan for tomorrow.

ANYWAY I sort of want to start a thread about this but nobody reads my threads so here we are.

I got a massage today (NOT A SEX ONE BEFORE YOU START) at "Dr. Stretch", a chain place that does sort of physio massage? They just opened about 1 minute from my office with a trial half-price offer, so I thought why not, because I've had a stiff neck for the last few years, and a tightness in my lower back.

It was a bit intimidating because they explained a LOT OF THINGS in Japanese and I was just about clinging on, but anyway the guy turned me out. A nice guy who even tried a tiny bit of English to help me follow his instructions. There was a stunt where I had to move my arms in various directions and he said they could bent a certain amount and the goal was to get to a different amount - let's just say that could EASILY have been abused to just pretend I made an improvement, not transparent at all. and sure enough I did improve (though not miraculously as much as he had estimated, so maybe it wasn't BS).

ANYWAY long story short, I signed up for a 1 month weekly course to get me on the right road (after I'm better apparently it'll only need once a month) - it's EXPENSIVE though, so I blew most of my pocket money I'd been saving from private lessons this year. Fortunately I DID feel different walking back to the station so it might be real after all. I just had a moment thinking I shouldn't let me cynicism get in the way of TRYING to make things better.

OK YES he was hot and I was into it - tbh I've ruined massages by watching too many "Regular massages turn porny" videos and I really wanted to suck him off. BUT I DIDN'T

Massages!

We already have a thread about wasting money, it’s *BLANK*

write your answers now Moopiez!
So I have a membership at a massage place, where I get one a month for a pretty low price. I don't always do it, but I can also give them out as "gifts," so they make good birthday gifts or whatever. I think its worth it, even if there probably isn't all that much benefit from getting a massage every month or two

I’m sat in my relatives watching the Grand National which is odd because the racecourse is about a mile away and you can hear it from the window

I wouldn’t dare get any closer though. Traffic is always horrible this weekend

Dress fitting done. It's a bit weird watching an old Italian bloke manhandle your daughter's jubblies but he was very respectful about it all :D

It'll take me and at least one bridesmaid to get her into it properly on the day, really not looking forward to that part but once it's on it's staying on. You could probably make about a hundred mosquito nets with all the netting under it too.
