Brenda Line Tuesday

I saw some grand footage of its launch on the news just now - very much a case of new train, same old miseries.
 
Brenda Line sounds like a range of feminine sanitary products.
 
I was on the first one from Abbey Wood this morning.

OK fine the 2nd one because I didn’t anticipate how much of a queue there would be and they closed a carriage off for Sadiq Khan.
 
I did have a mooch around a couple of the stations and they are really impressive.
 
I probably should have taken into account the likelihood I'll be falling asleep at my desk by 11am this morning.
 
Turns out that if you give someone about 70% of the information they need and then give them something to do that falls within the 30%, they'll fuck it up.

WHO KNEW? (apart from absolutely everyone).
 
Slow day?

I was drafted in at the last moment to teach at two nurseries today for the first time. Totally exhausting after just 40 minutes (then had to go to the next one and do it all again 20 minutes later)

The saleswoman who accompanied me there to introduce me said “would you like to do this again in the future?” The answer to which was “ahhh… no :) but thanks”
 
New job Day 2.

1st day at my 2nd base. I’m one of 3 people here. The other 2 hate each other and have done nothing but snipe and squark at each other all morning. In between singing along to the VERY loud radio. And sneering that they are going to raise things with the supervisor.

Can I change my mind about the job plz?
 
Mopsy, I have a question about SOCKS that I don't think warrants its own thread.

I am looking for socks to wear with shorts. For years I've warn which I call "ankle socks" (only covering the feet, and maybe with a few centimetres on top), but increasingly I'm seeing men wear something sort of between an ankle sock and a "normal" size soc. A bit like this:

How do I FIND these? I'm struggling. Do they have a name? Are they even a different cut or do my eyes just deceive me?

And are "normal" socks acceptable with shorts if you're already a bit short?

I tend to wear normal sports / tube socks and then push them down (because i'm mad like that)
 
I just googled 'high socks' and it came up with satisfying length socks. Knee-ish high socks are the mark of the current gay slut.

I must say I’m very excited about the diagonal lifts and I shall be Lizzing up on Saturday to sample the hot goods. Do all of the stations have them?

READING is on MY wishlist. Abbey Wood has so many stunningly high end eateries and boutiques as I’ve previously mentioned and of course ILFORD TOWN CENTRE is TO DIE FOR :disco:
