Kala watching some cheap live show and then back to his hotel in Gran Canaria to enjoy old Dinasty episodes on Eurovision night is the last thing I was expecting. I hope the next host city has a proper sauna, so many people pissed.

You're right, as if anything can beat this:

For those who do plan on seeing more than just a beer table in a tent surrounded by gays, I do recommend Hope Street. Go for lunch. Lots of restaurants. I would book.

I have reserved a table for all three live shows at WunderBar, a German bar that plays Eurovision and schlager music. It obviously won’t be as good as the real thing but it’s 50m from our gay bungalows complex and it’s Pride Week so I’m sure I’ll be kept entertained.

And the Baltic Triangle. I believe the Euroclub is at the aptly named Camp & Furnace in the centre of Baltic. But it’s a cool area, I think every city has an area like this (Shoreditch, Meatpacking district etc) and is just full of quirky bars and markets.

:D I just imagine the Eurovillage as a GIANT FUCK OFF TENT. I mean I hope there is covering because if there’s bad weather then you’re all in for a treat! I see it’s not mentioned anywhere that that the infamous formerly word heritage LIVERPOOL WATERFRONT faces the savage Irish Sea and you don’t want to be there when she turns nasty

Oh I loved that place, always dragged my husband there

I had guaranteed tickets for all the live shows due to being on the fan club committee. At a princely sum of £960. My whole holiday to Gran Canaria where I’ll be instead for 12 nights cost a few hundred less than that.
What sort of DUMP are you staying in for less than £660 INCLUDING flights?

Whilst I too think it’s going to be interesting seeing the audience composition and those Kala deems as so-called “plebs” (LOL!), it really is quite DELICIOUS seeing the breakdowns of those on the LANYARD GRAVY TRAIN as it is derailed nonetheless…

I mean, I imagine the 'plebs' will basically just turn out to be the EXTENDED FANBASE that doesn't really find it all that easy to go most years!

From the admittedly few and CWEJBOOKOFSTATS people I know who have tickets, I disagree. They’re all those who aren’t usually bothered.

I was also asked by LOADS of people who are never normally interested- to the point of “oh no, I’m not coming to your party”- if “I can get them tickets” (what, cause I like cock? :manson:)

Heaven forbid some people with their hinges on enjoy the festivities!
:D

It’s been like this for too long. The sheer number of ridiculous “journalists” for dubious websites and podcasts strolling around town with their lanyards flapping like a badge of honour (and looking down their noses at those without- and trust me, I have experienced this) very much needed to be streamlined.

Interval acts for the semifinals:

Julia Sanina (host / The Hardkiss)
Maria Yaremchuk (ESC 2014)
OTOY
Alyosha (ESC 2010)
Zlata Dziunka (JESC 2022)

along with British artists, including Rebecca Ferguson and RITA ORA :basil:

I suspect the real reason why Kala isn't going, and it's the same for many others, I know a few here, is because they don't accreditate (most of the) fans this year, they can't watch rehearsals, they can't stream on youtube for hours talking about the haircut of the backing singers, so it's not fun for them anymore.

Oh YES YES YES at the DUSTING OFF of the hamster wheel!

She is performing a medley of Ukrainian musical works, I am not sure if the hamster wheel is included in that :D

I should probably write the whole rundown:

Semi Final 1:
Opening: Julia Sanina with song "Mayak" by her band The Hardkiss
Interval 1: Rita Ora with a medley of her hits :side-eye: along with a new song
Interval 2: A duet between Alyosha and Rebecca Ferguson of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World"

Semi Final 2:
Opening: Mariya Yaremchuk, as above. OTOY and Zlata Dziunka (JESC 2022) will be included in that performance
Interval: Unnamed drag performers :disco: will perform an act called "Be who you want to be"

Rita Ora can fuck right off! Didn’t she FLEE from ‘Your Country Needs You’ before then throwing shade at Jade Ewen years later?

Surely a great opportunity to walk around shouting IT’S ONLY A LANYARD YOU KNOW, YOU CAN DROP THE ATTITUDE
