My first thought too. I literally said to myself 'she knew, she knew' after reading that statement

But also I don't blame her really she's looking after herself and her career

I think the biggest thing is that stop playing a charade to the public, long gone are the days of the passive viewer I guess that doesn't question anything.

The toxicity remark refers to that Doctor's statement surely (which I did think was curiously timed to be frank)? It also reeks of gaslighting.
 
I just watched the opening and Dermot went "How was YOUR weeked?" in quite a knowing fashion, but that was it

...and the LIVE BBC COMMENTARY missed it! 🥴

The Dr Ranj statement seemed to come as a result of a mix of a well founded grudge and being pushed by tabloids wanting a scoop. I think he's entirely entitled to speak up.

He's certainly not the only one on social media (SORRY, I CAN'T HELP MYSELF) saying similar - there are quite a lot of freelancers and people who have worked on the show who seem to be venting now. I don't think it's curiously timed at all, if the papers are offering him cash for his story, and now we've got to the point where being silent would be seen as being complicit.
 
I wasn't criticising him for speaking up -far from it. If anything I took issue with Schofield's response to it.
 
Doctor Who should do an episode going back and forth from Alisons evictions week on Big Brother Little Brother 20 years ago to this week with Dermot and Alison hosting This Morning together, eventually ending with Alison Hammond becoming the new assistant.

This Morning does give me distinctly 'hasn't moved on from 2000s culture', which was cancelled, pretty much as soon as cancellation became a thing.
 
I barely care about anyone involved, although Hammond's rise to the top is certainly notable and well deserved. But
