Re-watching the ending and there really was not an ounce of guilt or shame when Harry won, WICKED BEYOND BELIEF!

I rewound to watch Mollie’s “fucks” three times. As maddening as they all were that was gripping. I do prefer binge watching it though but couldn’t risk that due to Twitter & Insta this time.

overall an okay series that just didn’t have the extended story arcs of series 1.

The middle episodes were riveting television - peaking with Diane’s funeral - and then it all became quite pedestrian and boring?

I’m going to have to apply for series 3 to bring life back into the franchise.

Oh I thought it was much better than season 1. It really felt like it ended with the strongest faithful ever (Jaz) vs the strongest traitor ever (Harry) and a real battle of good vs evil. Normally stronger faithfuls get murdered but Jaz did well to keep things quiet… just maybe needed to convince Mollie a little harder - and he almost got her.

WHY would Jaz not want to end the game if he was a traitor, thicko?

I think she genuinely thought that both Jaz and Harry were Faithfuls and decided to share the money with Harry rather than Jaz. But Jaz would have been a 100% safe option because he wouldn’t have continued the game otherwise.

I’m sorry but you have to be BEYOND thick to think a traitor would jeopardise their inevitable victory by forcing a second vote. To be that fucking dense you’d have to basically be a jacket potato in a wig.

I really don’t think she thought Jaz was a traitor though. She just had to pick one of the two ‘faithfuls’ she was stood with and thought Harry was the one she’d rather share the money with. Dumb still - but not because she thought Jaz was a Traitor.

I guess we now know how they manage to keep the series fresh without the worry of the players knowing what's coming and what to expect... they just cast people who are thick as pigshit.

Trust me this is going to become like The Apprentice. None of you lot who are applying stand a chance unless you play it super dumb during the auditions.

Absolutely riveting television, at one point I thought Harry had fallen for Mollie and was going to split the money with her.

And that round table with the fire at the end must have been ROASTING.

For that reason she deserved nothing. Andrew, a traitor, wouldn’t have thrown Harry under the bus when he explained his vote, if he knew he was faithful. Even Meryl from S1 wasn’t that dense.

I wanted Jaz to win, but at the same time, I’m glad the ending didn’t just repeat S1.

Agreed - the last 15 minutes is some of the best reality television I have ever seen. Still agog at how Mollie could make such a crushing error right at the end. It should have been SO obvious.

This makes a lot of sense!

I was too tired to watch last night so watched this morning.

It was the exact ending I wanted (discounting the revenge storyline), in as much as I agree with cwej in terms of it being the best Traitor vs the best Faithful, ultimately. It just didn't go the way I wanted in terms of how that played out. But right down to the final episode I could still see an obvious path to the win for Andrew (and Ivan from last year amongst a few others on twitter had him as their favourite to win), and that would have been really unsatisfactory.

If there's some solace to be had from Jaz's defeat, it's that at least he didn't have to share the win with Mollie. At least the person who took all the money played the game.

And I don't discredit Mollie as being any worse than Meryl last year (although I don't think there's an awful lot in it). Mollie had to join the dots and failed. Someone joined Meryl's dots for her, coloured the picture in and she still couldn't fucking see it.

I don't think Mollie gave one good smiley though, did she? So for that reason Meryl is definitely more iconic.

I thought it was magnificent and, somehow, even better than last year's firepit scenes which I really didn't think could be topped. Just a shame it was a lot less feel good. And they had to do it inside coz the weather was shite

The fact that you could see Harry's name rubbed out on Mollie's slate was just the most sublime detail that took things up an extra incredible notch. The finest dramatists in the world could not write better. I felt for Mollie, and think pretty much anyone calling her stupid would have absolutely made a tit of themselves on telly in her shoes. Cwej's explanation is how I saw it too.

WELL DONE HARRY you WICKED BOY

And GOD FORBID that I succumb to hyperbole this soon, but it was sublimely produced and presented. Astonishing work.

Mollie didn’t add much during the show but she was perfect for that ending, no one else would’ve delivered quite the gut punch.

Such a lovely face, too. She was perfect to play the heart-broken jilted bride, running from the castle as her heart broke clean in two.

It's quite fitting for Britain 2024 that after a series of rampant misogyny, when the ultimate power was put into the hand of a white woman, she was a bit racist.

Jaz was so much fitter, too. But yes it did feel very STATE OF THE NATION, in quite an on the nose way, that the white army wideboy was favoured over the nice Sikh man

The logic fail from Mollie though of WHY WOULD JAZ have voted for an extra vote?
