He was ok. I watched it on iPlayer last night after returning from the AELTC. He utilised quite a few Americanisms which I could have done without.

Agree... there was some amusing comment from Agassi when Castle (assumedly?!) started talking about Leo Dicaprio in the crowd... but I was quite tipsy so can't remember what it was.

I feel like this tournament has marked the second coming of Iga. Her next imperial era is coming. Confidence will be sky high after this fortnight. I dont think we'll have to wait too long for that Sabs slam showdown in a final.

Athletics has the same issue, with the likeable but ultimately inept Colin Jackson.

Though at this point, I think it's more of a diversity hire than anything else.

I think the fortunate to thing is with the athletics Colin Jackson alternates with someone like Andrew Cotter.

Fucking Andrew Castle seems to always commentate on the big matches and there's no getting away from him.

At least Colin Jackson was an elite in his field. Andrew Castle is inept, unpopular, shit when he was pro and not a diversity hire. Every year social media blows up with people complaining about his commentary.

I remember when both Sue Barker and AC used to cover some of the other Grand Slams on Sky in the early 90s just before Barker made the move to the BBC. Sue was the anchor and Castle was her running mate. I remember thinking their career trajectories were so vastly different and being grateful that he was never courted by the BBC. And then they fucking added him to the commentary team!
