The Master is an evil Time Lord and the Doctor's nemesis, and has been played in the modern series by Derek Jacobi, John Simm, Michelle Gomez and Sacha Dhawan. I'm not convinced Jinkx would be right for that part, but I'm sure she'll be great whoever she's playing :disco:

Although I imagine the split from her British husband won't have made a trip any more likely.
 
I could see her as Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Cara Delevigne is taking over from Self Esteem soon.

And I quite like the thought of Jinkx as a GLITTERING WEST END STAR whilst The Vivienne is treading the boards in Norwich and Llandudno.
 
I’d misunderstood and thought she was playing the plant.

Actually you're right - it's probably more Jean Harlow. And I assume she was a big inspiration for Madonna in the first place.

More importantly, a lot of shows had excellent weeks. Most notably, two-time RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon proved why she was asked back to Chicago last week. She began her encore run as Matron "Mama" Morton June 27, wisely just in time for NYC Pride, and that sent the show's grosses soaring with an increase of more than a quarter million dollars compared to the week previous. When you're good to Jinkx, Jinkx is good for ticket sales.
 
Is there a copyright reason they aren’t calling it The Pirates of Penzance? Or is it a different show?
 
It wouldn't be in copyright anymore anyway, but the book has been adapted and the orchestrations are new. It's got a New Orleans setting now.
 
I’m really hoping O Mary comes to the West End at some point. I’d take any of the Broadway principals so far.

I did read mixed reviews of Titus Burgess’ interpretation. He probably had quite a thankless task in directly following Cole Escola though.
