Makes Me Wonder and the one with Rihanna are both top notch. I don’t hate the rest but it’s background type stuff rather than actually wanting to listen to it.

I quite like the older stuff but I just can't be bothered even looking for new material. He's very meh as a front man.

I like Maps a lot, and 'Makes Me Wonder' is a nice little pop ditty, but oh my goodness, you can clearly see they haven't really bothered since 'Moves Like Jagger' (which was a fluke, tbh, and a hit thanks to Christina), a case of two big names on a meh song = HIT.

I don't understand myself when I would choose One Republic over these hacks any day.

Now I'm no advocate for Maroon 5, but I think attributing the entire success of Moves Like Jagger to Christina Aguilera Evil (who herself hadn't a hit for 5 years) is perhaps pushing it. And two big names didn't work for either of the preceding Maroon 5 / Rihanna or Diddy / Christina SHITFESTS.

I think BIZARRELY and INEXPLICABLY people actually liked it

Looking at a list of singles, they have some decent songs but most of them ( the early ones at least for me) were ruined by being overplayed.
