Duchess of Kent DEAD

"The duchess was known for handing out trophies" lol

Who's the oldest now?

I’ll never forget this moment with the also sadly deceased Jana Novotna after Jana choked away the 1993 Wimbledon final and was very distressed. It was very moving at the time and one of the most human interactions (outside of Our Di) that I’d seen from a royal.

Exactly what I was coming to post.

Indelibly linked with Jana in my mind too.

Apparently she stopped when the Wimbledon bigwigs wouldn't allow her to bring a bereaved child into the Royal Box :eyes:

When I was a lot younger I remember wondering why we had to have such a FRUMP for Queen when the Royals had such GLAMOUR in the ranks

Wasn’t she also known for being a complete LIGGER and getting paid for doing VERY LITTLE? I seem to remember a lot of bad press around her.

The Duchess of Kent married in though, didn't she? I thought she was one they bought in to strengthen the gene pool.

I was thinking Princess Michael too, but no. :D
Aw, she seemed a gracious, non-troublesome royal; not really heard much about her until now (probably due to the lack of drama). Interesting that she was also a primary school music teacher, known as Mrs. Kent. 😊 🎼
