This needs to be taught in schools. WHAT a fucking final :disco:

- Joe completely throwing himself under the bus :disco:
- Alan breaking down and getting the people he's just fucked over to console HIM :disco:
- Nick almost fainting while dressed like he's presenting a charity Stars In Their Eyes at a community centre :disco:
- David's commitment to being wildly incorrect about everything to the last second :disco:
- The really nice looking mashed potato :disco:
- Cat being entirely UNBOTHERED by everything :disco:
- Claudia's unconcealed glee at knowing Alan was about to drop a bombshell on the other two :disco:

It's such PERFECT television and such a magnificently simple idea it's actually amazing nobody thought of it decades ago.

I don't think they could possibly have picked a better host for it. She gets completely involved while giving nothing away; the contestants all seem to love her despite her spending half the time telling them how shit they are.

What a finale.

I did have a feeling with how much they showed Joe ‘gunning’ for Cat and Alan last week and the start of this that it could be a red herring - either that or they were building it up so we weren’t too disappointed if he had got them out, but once they started showing Nick picking up on Joe apologising to Cat it did seem like they were going to surprise us. And what a go :disco:

And yes. Joe easily the best player and most fuckable, but he needed to get the boot for some reason I can’t put my finger on :D

There's something immensely satisfying about super confident players getting the boot - faithful or traitor. It's why Jonathan was a much more gratifying sacrifice than Alan or Cat would have been.
 
I urgently need the cast list for series 2 now. The calibre of this one was STAGGERING, but now it's the ratings sensation (and, by all accounts, not too much time out of the schedule) they'll surely attract some ridiculous names.

I've seen Gareth Southgate, Ruth Jones and Lily Allen rumoured, which are all pretty high calibre.

Amazing numbers in this day and age. I hope Claudia sees this as her pet and doesn’t have any notions of leaving it for the forseeable.

Thought there was no way Alan would pull that off but that final comment to cast doubt on Joe was really clever and perfectly timed.
