Her next album is out Sept 26. New single/video is “Crush”, which is randomly exploding at US radio (her last hit on the format was Ruin My Life)

I just find her so dull but maybe this will grow.

Wasn't that the name of her first hit? It's just a crush or whatever.

It's a fun song actually and I like the Love Island but make it Kafka aesthetics.
I'm here for it.

Midnight Sun is an incredible pop song. That's the smash that got the ball rolling again for her (and her absolutely outperforming Tate McRae on her own tour).

I don’t love it, but totally here for her scoring at least a radio hit.

I’ve found it all a bit boring sadly, as I really like her.

The three singles are all hitting for me now though, along with Eurosummer. Its Spotify numbers looked pretty good for an artist on her commercial level (albeit it mainly in the Scandinavian countries) so hopefully she can get some decent peaks.

Eurosummer is a slightly belated eurobop. That back to back with Hot & Sexy is :disco:

I like Blue Moon a lot and Saturn's Return for more of a mood piece.

Pretty Ugly is still a hard pass.

Pretty Ugly is the worst thing she's ever released. Why is she fond of this type of songs so much? And like Devil, I found this album boring; considering it was co-written by MNEK entirely, that's unfortunate.

My first listen of Pretty Ugly wasn’t great, but now I quite like it :D

It’s that chanty trash sort of song, but a bit of fun.

came in here to post exactly this! the Eurosummer/Hot & Sexy one-two punch is kinda insane. yes, throw soapy water on me and make me shake ass :disco:

imagine sitting on Eurosummer all summer and not releasing it though.

BEAUTIFUL! :disco:
HOT! :disco:
FLY! :disco:
AND SEXY! :disco:

She is rather fabulous as an interviewee.

But chin up, Zara love. Lush life has boomed back up to #12 in the UK on Spotify and her one with Pink Pantheress has entered the daily chart as well, so she’s certainly not finishing the year as a flop. Even Midnight Sun is chugging its way to 100 million streams pretty soon.

oh she's had a great year. not enough has been said about how lovely a pop song Crush is. I prefer it to Midnight Sun.

Her keynote performance of Midnight Sun is now up to 4.3M streams on TikTok, nearly three million more than anything else on the Hobbycraft Wimbledon channel :disco:

:padam:

Midnight Sun got 967k on Spotify yesterday, and with 86k of the remix, is now hitting over 1 million a day :o

Probably benefitting from Lush Life being so huge, but be nice to see this as an actual hit as well :disco:

A shame she doesn’t seem to be officially credited on Stateside either that is #40, especially as it is her version that is charting on all the streaming sites.

Still, fab week for her :disco:

if Midnight Sun finally gets its moment then great. It's creeping up on 100m on Spotify.

the first pop smash of the year being a song from 2015 though... it feels like nothing new has smashed for the past year. I can't think of one pop song post-Abracadabra that made a big splash other than that Golden thing

Fate of Ophelia perhaps? It’s hard to tell with her as she’s obviously huge out the gate, but it’s had rather good legs.

This has now entered the Amazon and Apple charts in the UK, and is up to #64 in the midweeks, so all looking good for Zara.

Both The Fate Of Ophelia and Where Is My Husband are big pop songs really. I suppose if you're meaning from a banger or "dancier" perspective, you're right though.

LOVE this coming for its belated smash just as it starts to snow though.

Here for Midnight Sun being a hit if it means we get #justiceforeurosummer as the summer smash it deserves to be.

Why is Lush Life back in the charts though? This must be the first song of the streaming era to be having such a big revival in the charts so soon after it was originally a hit. It's been less than 10 years right?
