EastEnders 2026

Looks like the next 6 episodes (from tomorrow until next Thursday) will all be set on the wedding day, and there's going to be some potentially big stuff going down.
 
Well as thrilled as I am to see Sharon back (presumably only for a guest stint), it does make Michelle’s absence more ludicrous than ever.

Meanwhile, Whitney’s return really could have been an email.
 
At some point I’m expecting a new casting and return of Spencer. Alfie has mentioned him so much this year, and he never has any stories other than hanging around with Harvey and Ross.
 
I think we're all being a tad harsh about poor old Whitney

It wasn't promoted or hyped, it wasn't part of a big plot-shattering boom boom event. It wasn't meant to be anything more than a fun little cameo.

And I don't know why people find Sharon's return somehow more shocking, given she never officially left the show and has popped up for guest stints not too recently.

It’s because her more recent stretch wasn’t a “guest stint” it was meant to be a permanent return that was canned after 9 episodes.

That on top of previous sudden disappearances with little to no explanation of where she’d gone or why did have some people wondering whether she would ever be back, so my reaction came more out of RELIEF than anything else!
 
The current "The Night That Changes Everything!1!" marketing campaign feels so stale and generic. I hope the plot's better

So I take it the heavily pregnant person with Max at New Year is Priya? But she looked more than 6 months pregnant. So maybe it’s it’s her but Ravi’s baby? Or maybe it’s Linda and it’s Grant’s baby?
 
Thinking more about Denise not being in the New Year flash forward episode, my guess is that Libby returned and donates her bone marrow to Denise and she may be in hospital. I don’t think she’s going to die in the next 6 months.

I think in the flash forward episode she had just left the flat when Libby arrived. I wonder if she’s in the middle of chemo and they kept her out of the flash forward so as not to give it away.

I’m now also thinking it’s Priya’s and given she slept with both of them on the same day, either could be the father. If it’s new year she’d be 7 months pregnant.

There’s been some speculation that the actress is pregnant in real life as she’s been wearing a lot of uncharacteristically loose clothing, so I wonder how that might mess things up if it is the case.
 
Now that the proposal has happened, I’m going to assume the bride at new year is Cindy, but between now and then she has found out about Max and Priya, or maybe he even cheats with Linda, and there’s a revenge plot going on.

We only see his side of the conversation with her on New Year’s Day, so she could be FUMMING on the other end of the phone.
 
That was such an episode. So well done though. Denise, is getting her legacy status here but she should have had it already in fine health, if that makes sense

Diane Parish has shown time after time what a tour de force she can be, but she has tended to be up against daft material like The Six, the whole Lucas saga and that time she was homeless for a few weeks for some reason.
 
She does however have perhaps the very best DUFF-DUFF of all time with her violently cooking dry pasta
 
So it’s now officially in EastEnders canon that La Voix used to work for, and based her act on Elaine Peacock :D
 
Apparently the audience in the Vic bit with La Voix was improvised. You can see it in the actors faces!
 
Not saying EE is on its arse (in the eyes of Moopy at least), but there were 16 pages of the 2025 thread by the same date last year
