MADONNA AND KYLIE - Love Sensation

I don't use Spotify, though, but just googled it and it doesn't seem to appear at all on their New Music Friday playlist, though, so that's it FUCKED anyway...
 
And I love that the live version with our gay holy trinity of MKS is actually the most explosive one

Without NMF I can’t see this doing much beyond the CD single sales but I guess it will
Keep both of them visible for the new album and reissues respectively for both queens

I absolutely love the radio edit. Love Sensation has been on repeat for me since its released so I'm not surprised.

Shame no placing on NMF. Kylie will just have to record a new song with her for her new album :)

This is #3 on Apple's equivalent of NMF.

I'm not surprised to not see it in Spotify's list - I could be wrong but Love Sensation has already appeared on NMF hasn't it?
 
Hysteria and hyperbole-tinged opinion:

I really think this is fantastic. We all thought 'Love Sensation' was the most Kylie-sounding song on the album so it's a fitting collaboration. I love what Kylie adds here, and although on 'surface level' they sound similar vocally, what I find is that Kylie is the ying to Madonna's yang here. She adds a nocturnal, darker energy to the song whilst Madonna's original vocal is almost melancholic in parts.

I love both mixes but clearly the main Afterhours remix is made for clubs so I would want an even longer version (maybe a 12" dub back in the old days) to fully immerse myself in it. The radio edit is perfectly fine for casual listening.

I still think this is all a bit surreal. In a few weeks' time we'll be holding a CD Single that has both of them on the cover!

I don't fall into the "it sounds like a Kylie song" camp. It resides closer to Get Together for me (although maybe also a little tinkle of Get Outta My Way). Anyway, I fucking love the 2 new duet versions now.
 
When I first heard Love Sensation I thought it was Get Together's bastard gay love child with Love At First Sight by way of a backdoor BBL in Tijuana featuring Madame X's autotune.
 
To be honest I actually need an even longer Afterhours remix which puts the bridge back in and elongates the love sensation/good vibration Kylie mix with Madonna's new love sensation harmonies but also brings KYlie's bits in because she was doing a lot of that on the live version too.

Love Sensation was never a favourite in its original form, but the full AH mix absolutely fucks

The last two minutes in particular are just **twirls**
 
May Madge and Kylie surf this house thumper wave for a few weeks more at least - I think the occaision absolute calls for a video and it would make a great awards ceremony type performance.

This would be perfect.

Even though I wanted an additional entirely new third verse on which both of them sang but that’s ok.
 
Something is OFF with Spotify.

Not just NMF but it's not appearing on my homepage at all... Apparently Madonna is my most played artist of the last 6 months so why would her new single not appear on my homepage?
 
I genuinely love that video. They don't need to film another official one. Loving all the improv. :D
 
Also they didn't quite edit out Kylie struggling to get up on the mixing deck stage which had me tittering.

But, wasn't Get Together the most Kylie-esque track on the original Confessions? It makes perfect sense for her to be featured on a song that references Get Together.

Perfect choice for Kylie: the aforementioned "yeah" and line that literally says "Slow".

Whatever I said, I'm in a tizz about how good this all is now.

But no, I don't consider Get Together Kylie-esque. To me it was a hypnotic trance shadow of Holiday if anything.
 
There's something too self rewarding about this collaboration. I recall myself being bullied as an overweight gay teenager in the early 90s, sticking smash hits magazine posters of Madonna and Kylie onto my personal school locker walls and feeling embarrassed to let anyone have a look. Images of blond ambition Madonna and what do I have to do single cover Kylie were my safety spots, keeping me hopeful. And here we are, 35+ years later cementing this incredible journey. I just adore them both.
