I was held up in traffic due to the fog, so missed most the action. I turned up late evening to see the mutilation of Harold Godwinson.

I was headed down there until I realised that I’d forgotten to do my Friday Big Shop and the BOGOF on cabbages was ending and I didn’t want to miss out

Sounds like I dodged a bullet though. Or an arrow.

God ye A282 was back to back, there was a horse and cart pile-up on junction 12, supposedly when a farmer had stopped to admire a passing wench

I was out on the town with the Venerable Bede. We spent the entire evening trying to avoid the result because we were planning to watch the highlights when we got in.

Just seen it. Fascinating, and still so vibrant after all this time!

Less fascinating was the QUEUE situation. Didn't actually get in front of it till over an hour after our ticket time. The only real crowd tackling measure they have is staff moving along the line quietly asking you to "shuffle along please :)"

Still, v. happy and feel like I've ticked off a once in a lifetime event off my list :disco:
