I went for a two hour canal walk. It was almost entirely free of people and dogs, accept for these two guys on bikes who were off their tits on something and kept stopping and trying to engage with me about how amazing the fish looked.
 
Now I'm having a bacon sandwich because I had some left over from yesterday. Om nom nom nom.

I had a lay down. Now I have a large cocktail. This is like 1 day off on my own with the husband abroad. And I'm losing my mind. Not entirely sure how I will cope with actual full fat not having a job come later in the year - and retirement when that comes along - I mean - god alone knows.

I am now working from home for the rest of my week though. So once I have a cold bath later, I have no intention of getting dressed again for the rest of the week.

I've had pain in my arm for weeks. I went the doctor today and apparently it's tendonitis. Eurgh getting old is pain.
 
In better/ worse news my work this week has gone from just Thursday to Friday, to starting tomorrow. Good because £££, bad because 🥵
 
I remember as a kid getting excited about it being too cold for school to open. Ron jr has just come in saying school might shut because its too hot.

But pete from facebook says climate change isnt real 🫠
 
All the parents in my area are happy to take their kids to 40+ heat in places like Turkey and Egypt, but their child couldn't possibly manage school.
 
It is a RED WARNING, I think the schools have made the right call.

Especially from a worker's point of view, they'd probably be hammered in an employment tribunal (and rightly so)

Oh but the excuses are "eating food in hot weather will make my child sick'. Hopefully they won't be feeding them at home then aswell.
 
Bit odd to close at 1pm though. Sure let’s force a load of kids and parents outside at the hottest part of the day!
