Depends on their size and you only need to feed them once a week (and not at all when they're shedding their skin or laying eggs), providing you don't care that you have to keep dead animals in your freezer it's fine. Little snakes just eat pinkies (newborn hairless mice), slightly bigger is mice, then chicks, then rats, then rabbits for giant snakes. Piney (the old snake) at 7 feet should have been on two rats a week but she'd had a problem with a rat one time so she refused to eat them after that and got two large mice and two chicks a week. The worst part of keeping a snake is the smell of their poo, it's so bad it lives in my memory and I can start retching just remembering it, it's worse than the colostomy ward smell!
