Madonna - Confessions II OUT NOW

Love Madonna's don't-embarrass-me watchful eye when Lola struggles to complete a sentence. They clearly do have a fun chemistry we're only getting small glimpses of.

I really do like this album, but the hysterical reaction in here might be even better.

Yeah we get it, you don’t like her.

For those of us who do, it’s that our favourite/one of our favourites is back to her best after so long off the mark. I refuse to get sneery about that. What an unexpected and glorious joy it’s been.

School is just... *ugh*

I have been waiting for a sequel to Skin for decades

I feel myself ascending descending into gay ecstasy with every listen
I feel like a 🐽 when School is on and I’m not ashamed
In fact the official title should have been 🐽 School

Or maybe even 🐶 School

Nah, it really is THAT good.
You miss my point, I genuinely really like the album and I think she's run an excellent campaign. It's far from sneery, but the hysteria is very very entertaining.

Call it
Love without words

As one of the OLD fans (1984) it is exciting to have an excellent album from someone I pretty much gave up on post Confessions the original. I’m happy to peacock for the woman especially considering she’s one of the last remaining TRUE SUPERSTARS from the era.

This is the first time in two decades I’ve had a Madonna album on repeat like this.

Exactly
Let us have nice things
Let us touch those things
For once !
We won’t be going too far
I am having my coffee and I can’t even swallow it !!!!

Iykyk

Same for me. It's not that I hated everything she released since Confessions 1, but there was always just something lacking. Not with this one. This is a total triumph that I never, ever thought we'd get from her again.

It’s gonna be hard to top MDNA… but listen to her, who would wanna top MDNA?

I forgot to check the transitions on the 12-track vinyl, as Everything transitions into Love Without Words, not Love Sensation, on that version!

Finding it very hard to decide a favourite between Danceteria and Fragile. The former is a total tearaway thrill ride. And the latter... the sheer beauty of that opening drum kick moment. It's Burial. It's Bicep - Apricots. It's four minutes of unbearably gorgeous wistfulness. What a gift, the both of them.

To be fair, Madonna fan or not, what she's just done has never been done before. Hitting a critical and artistic re-peak while being commercially successful 45 years in has only ever been accomplished maybe by David Bowie's Blackstar. And that's it.

She's currently writing the book as to what's possible, and I definitely feel some type of way about that. :unbothered:

EXACTLY my dilemma. I listen to one, think I've decided and then listen to the other a few songs later and go back the other way.

EXQUISITE.
