Madonna - Confessions II OUT NOW (3 Viewers)

Does anybody else have apple music on a samsung galaxy and have issues with getting this to play as a continuous mix? They are all playing for me as individual tracks and I can't seem to change settings to play it without breaks.

I'm still actually totally gooped and gagged about the job they've done on Bring Your Love. can someone (@FannyFaudrey) report on what the vinyl version is like? more like the version of the song we heard initially I'd imagine?

the beat hits SO much harder in the album/streaming version it's quite wild. they upgraded it from a 7 to a hard 9.

I really dislike the first half of Everything but am growing to love the second half. :bruised:

I think Everything is necessary in context. It's the first song on 'Side B'. It marks the moment that the drugs properly kick in for the next aspect of the journey.

My interpretation of it lyrically is about both social media/online stuff as well as drugs.

Hence Love Sensation following it up and Love Without Words (getting all loved up etc.)

I need to do my own thread of analysis actually but I want to give it a week to bed in first.

Despite Moopy's best efforts to ruin this album for me, it has stayed at the top of the KC charts since release. Even the weaker tracks feel intentional. I think "School" might be my least favorite.

One Step Away, Danceteria, Bizarre and the 3 singles are all terrific.

Oh LWW is great. As is Good for the Soul. I forget about it because it's so early in the album. School, Everything and My Sins I find myself skipping over. But they're much better than regular Madonna filler.

It only (briefly) mentions two songs in between the extended musings on her apparently IMMINENT DEATH.

had to make this my new lock screen

Fucking hell this is AMAZING. Listened to it last night, and then again I had it playing through the house this morning and it is quite a collective masterpiece that I haven’t heard from her in too long. Obviously we all knew she still had it in her, but wow she has really scaled up. :disco:

First the gays then the girls. Let’s go. 🪩

Played some key tracks to a friend in the car this evening. Everything had only just began and they were raving about it - felt so proud.

Wow. At this point I'm happier for her fans more than I am for the actual album.

Received a message literally 5 minutes ago from a (straight female) friend who is basically a The First Album stan and jumped ship in the early 90s asking if I’d played it and that she was really enjoying it so it does seem to be connecting ( survey sample size 1).

my astrological psychic told me she's been on the buzzer with our Di who says Love Without Words is big in heaven and that Christopher Ciccone is very moved by Fragile (but disputes certain lyrical claims) x
