Hope this isn't a bit tasteless to start a thread in light of recent UK revelations.

Starting season 19 now airing on Channel 4.

Very surprised at the 45 minute running time as the 1 season I watched before were 2 hour episodes a pop.
 
Well Josh is cute. He sounds gay, but sometimes with clean cut US guys it's hard to. Oh he's just said "wife". Barf.
 
And all his buds have the same massive arms. That's always a concern: are the friends and brothers hotter, etc. They're not though thankfully.
 
It's even more cute that Josh doesn't realise he's gay yet. If you watched without sound you'd think it, if you listened without visuals you'd think it.
 
Well episode 2's two couples seem very well matched. I do love watching the whole whirlwind stage and you definitely don't get that with the Australian version.

So far, yes. I think they must have the international audiences in mind as previously the USA episodes were so long. It's got a different feel though - it's much more earnestly participated in if that makes sense.
 
I think we may have a MAGA man. He's getting a good edit so far, but the previews are suggesting petulant child.
 
Starting to think my heteroflexible crush Josh has a hair system wig thingy. If it its, it's one of the better ones I've seen.

One thing we don't get with the USA version is an initial mixer between the brides and grooms. But Josh and his beard have just spoken about the other couples and we've not seen them all meeting.
 
So this aired in the USA in October last year. That's good, I'll go watch the rest on my dodgy firestick. Apparently the experts have all left the show ahead of season 20. This season saw a move to Peacock streaming, which might explain the new episode lengths.
 
Poor Derrick. He's fairly placid and practical, but Megan is mega defensive. It's hard to watch. A 38 year old acting worse than someone 20 years younger is quite something.

I have only seen season 15 - it was paced very slowly and had very little time with the experts (there was no weekly stay or leave, but they did reach a point of deciding before the end). 19 is faster, but still relatively hands off in comlarison to the international editions.

So I wouldn't prioritise it over the UK, NZ and Australia versions. Obviously I'm happily bingeing right now, so it can't be that bad.
 
Having seen episode 9 where Megan and Derrick revealed they were expecting a child, I couldn't help but google whether they were still together and the news couldn't have been worse I'm afraid.
 
An argument over what the other defines as "community". Well I never. Poor gay Josh having to calm this pointless storm.
 
Jesus. Just googled who was still together.

None of them. Gay Josh cheated on her. And Derrick broke up with Megan over the phone.
 
Oh wow. Only 13 episodes and a final 14th being the reunion. I think their filming lasted 2 months so it's not served as a week shown over 5 episodes.
 
2 of these husbands are absolutely wild. The day before the final vow renewals they're saying yes and then on the day saying no. I hope Rhonda tells him where to go.

I also feel the show must clearly do tests on people where they unofficially pick out narcissistic traits (not in this American version, but definitely UK and Aus), and here on this season there are 2 husbands I'm absolutely convinced are on the spectrum and it's very hard watching them have people express frustrations towards them when they clearly aren't intending on causing any whatsoever.
 
The reunion is filmed well over a year later. Derrick without the mullet isn't really doing it for me. Absolutely none of them staying together isn't a great look. Overall, I don't like any of these guys as potential husbands for anyone - what a bunch.
 
In light of the multiple contestants who have came forward with details of coercive behaviour and worse, it's astounding that the current USA season now has a guy on camera saying to his wife who is not attracted to him that it's a wifely duty, but deny it when she tries to speak to him about it later. And this followed him starting a conversation with her whilst wearing only a towel seeing if she would be open to them both maturbating together - a truly bizarre man. But the wifely duty comment. Absolutely abhorrent and this is where producers have a responsibility to step in. Furthermore, with the same male expert as the UK one now featured, it also now closely follows the same international format - I just hope to god the experts confront him about it and send him packing. Episode 11 has this woman being laughed at and told she is completely wrong by this guy. Honestly, she should sue as it's literally all been shown on TV. It's abuse.
