I met a Slovenian fella who was right into Philomena Cunk.

Which blew my tits off
 
Philomena Cunk is all over YouTube with (usually American) reaction videos.

She seems to be something that I assumed would be very much a British thing, but seemingly has a lot of appeal outside the UK.
 
I think she's quite visual. There's almost something Mr Bean in her physical comedy, that appeals across languages. Her facial expressions alone are very very funny.
 
Yes, I didn't think it would necessarily translate, but I guess being deadpan, monotone and at times downright rude is hardly uniquely British.

Is that on par for the usual Celebrity Masterchef? The figures look quite low. I haven’t watched any yet but plan to catch up later on this week.
 
I have never watched Ludwig, and am not sure it is my cup of tea. Is it a comedy? I’m assuming so with David Mitchell at the helm.

It's more of a comedy-drama to be fair. It has elements of Murder, She Wrote and Midsomer Murders and similar 'light' in tone murder mystery series.
 
I wouldn't compare it to Midsomer Murders personally. Tonally they are very different.

Maybe worth giving it a go then. I am on Vigil and Trigger Point at the moment. I generally prefer my dramas to be a bit more GRITTY, rather than lighthearted and funny.
 
I loved the first series, but haven't started the second yet. I may wait until it's all available.
 
With Ludwig back now, and Celebrity Traitors, GBBO and SCD starting later this month, at least we'll see decent figures at the top of the viewing figures.

Celebrity Traitors is going to be MASSIVE again. I can’t wait.
 
Ludwig was compared to Jonathan Creek so I watched ep 1 last year and was APPALLED that Jonathan Creek's good name was being besmirched in such a way. I found it really mid.
 
I see the Jonathan Creek comparison more, and I loved that, at least in the Musty Minge era.
 
The one thing I will say about Ludwig is that I thought Anna Maxwell-Martin was criminally underused in the first series, and I hope they have given her more in this series.

I agree she did seem to be left sitting at home quite often in the first run, but she is featured more in the second series so far.
