Oh, this is sad :(

A legend in so many ways, a genius songwriter, an ally, an advocate for childhood literacy & so much more.

There's never been anyone like you Dolly & there never will be. RIP.
 
God, she still seemed so young in spirit (and appearance)! RIP to a true diva.

I hope for a super emotional Miley tribute performance.
 
I don’t know what to say :( This was always going to be horrible.

But when her husband died last year and she took that time off a few months ago, I was worried.
 
One of the all time greats :( name me a person a who disliked her!

Dolly perf DU CHOIX for now. Despite being the smallest in stature, and despite being among fellow country heavyweights, you can't deny she steals the show, and it's her your eyes go to.

What a fine lady she was! Always so positive. We could all learn from Dolly.

Very sad. "Icon" doesn't even come close to describing her. Loved her from such a young age.

Sorry to jump to chart trivia, but surely a strong chance now that 9 to 5 will finally become a top 40 hit.
 
Everything that came out of this woman’s mouth had merit. Constantly challenged preconceptions and was a fierce ally for everyone but always, always kept it classy.

RIP to a GENUINE legend.
 
Absolutely heartbroken. Very few people are so universally loved. I'll be watching Christmas to Remember with a tear in my eye this year. Never missed a Christmas without watching it.
