an important question so think before answering!!

it's wet, it's chilly, I'm preparing a small assignment for an interview on Monday working to a brief that's as dry as a nun's clunge... and, perhaps most disgustingly of all, I'm listening to Hard Candy.

I've caught a crappy cold from the diseased children & there's also a vomiting bug going round the class :disco: - they were dropping like small flies yesterday

I was on my way to a meeting last week and walked past A&E reception where one of the receptionists was throwing up all over the desk :zombie:

Just done a few hours of work to catch up. Today will entail football, pub, ragu, ket.

I've been ill all week and I'm rather cheesed off. I did not plan to spend my annual leave lolling about coughing, spluttering and sneezing.

Facetime call from the spawn this morning to tell me she'd been in hospital till 5am this morning as she'd tripped over last night and smashed the top of her forehead into the conservatory door frame and she's got concussion and a dent in her head. I have to admit my secret thoughts went straight to "her husband better not have done this" because the explanation of how it happened seemed quite suss. She said she'd tripped on the leg of her wide-leg trousers. I knew that her husband had just taken sos to football training so I asked her "please don't take this the wrong way but are you sure husband didn't do this to you?" and she said she'd also been asked that several times at the hospital and in the end she'd downloaded the video from her Ring camera to show them so they'd stop asking. She sent the video to me after the Facetime and Mr F and I have watched it about fifteen times because it's so funny. You don't see the actual "event" but you see her get up from the settee to go towards the conservatory, as she starts moving her foot gets tangled in her flappy pant-leg and she kind of flies sideways out of the camera's range, then you hear a shriek then "Oh shit, ow" and she comes back into view holding her head then she says to herself "oh no, I think I might need daddy for this" and walks towards the downstairs toilet saying "ow" a lot. Then she disappears from view again (to look at her head in the toilet mirror" then you just hear "Ooooooh, husband, come here quick, I need you!".

She definitely got a full whack of her dad's clumsiness gene.

am under attack. Not AI - wish it was.

In better news I've just purchased a lovely stripped jumper for the incoming cold months. And unrelated a steam iron and shiny new food recycling caddy. I'm unreasonably pleased about all of them.

My car battery is flat. This is the third time in 4 months. Time for a new one I guess.

My lovely father-in-law has been in hospital after a fall. He's smashed his face in. Hope he's ok, he's not only a good guy but also a colleague.

My partner's mother had a fall a while back. She didn't break anything, but she was black and blue all over one side of her body and had a black eye. It's strange, she was surprisingly active for her age, did lots of walking, gardening, painted her house etc., but after her fall she's suddenly quite frail. It's like time suddenly caught up with her because she tripped one day.
