I once had to talk to a Mr Wank...this was the early 00s and the pronunciation was "Vaunk".

I was supposed to have a job interview today, which the woman describes as "informal, informal" despite asking me to do an assignment for it - if I'm giving that degree of time I'd hope it's actually formal. anyway she's pushed it to tomorrow due to "childcare issues". fucking children. I'm trying to get a JOB HERE!

I sometimes work with Mr Gay.

I had a teacher called Mrs Horne, which waa obviously hilarious in 1993.

We used to compile a spreadsheet of funny names at my old job.

One of my team told me he had been asked to go in for a ‘chat’ about a role on another team. His question to me ‘what do you think they mean by chat? Do they mean chat? To which I laughed a little too readily and replied ‘I don’t think they ever chat. i’d assume it absolutely isn’t in any way just a chat’. A few days later he caught up with me and said ‘yeah, it definitely wasn’t a chat’. He did get the job though, so go him.

We got a new client last week. His surname is Raper. If I was a man born with that surname I think I'd have changed it to Draper or something by deed poll at the first opportunity.

I went to school with a Raper. He did change his name, given the tendency of male schoolchildren to call other people by their surname.

But then I also work with a woman with that surname who took it on through marriage.

Haha one of the DT Food tech teachers in highschool is called Mrs Cooke :D

I'm grateful that I have accommodation and made it to the seminars today. And that living in a house is far more chill than in halls. ☺️
