Coming back strong? Mis-Teeq Reunion

I’d genuinely forgotten about Scandalous. I don’t care for all the garage stuff, but that’s a great track.
 
Wait so Alesha is now the rapper AND the main singer? :kim:
 
Maybe not quite to the extent of last night but back in the day I think Alesha was all over the live performances.

Su-Elise didn’t even sing on the records in the old days so I wouldn’t expect her to sing live here 🤣

Not really, its a few months off,and they could do the same in Manchester and Birmingham I'd say.

Jeez dub-by downer! This is selling just fine for a band that really only had a couple of proper hits and didnt shift many albums.

exactly. I think with Alesha's star-power, they are one of the few bands that could go cross over with Garage and cool events and then mainstream, so if they wanted to they could carve something, it just depends WHAT, and also what is financially going to be considered/sought viable/a success from all three as a whole
 
It was AMAZING!!! Such a great vibe.

Is Sabrina not well? She’s giving Mariah a run on the sedation front.
 
I was there and can confirm it was the best part of the whole show. A genuine shock that everyone seemed to delight in.

Otherwise it was probably the most padded gig I have ever been to. After 30 minutes on stage they ran off and an MC had the crowd singing a minute of random garage classics.

Su-Elise honestly did nothing, Sabrina did all the singing and both of them visibly winced at Alesha’s cheeky Britain’s Got Talent asides.

They saved B With Me, All I Want and Scandalous for the very end, and we left before Scandalous because to be honest the impression I was left with at this point was that once you’ve heard one Mis-teeq song you’ve heard them all.
 
@Suomi I saw you at the bar just before they came on.

Agree Why? and ZENA was the absolute highlight but there were plenty of other moments of joy.

Su-Elise did nothing?! She stole the show with them doing Just For You… what a treat!

Energy from Su-Elise was fab and Alesha really is the star.

Sabrina was genuinely concerning, wandering around the stage, guided by backing dancers, messing up lyrics, she seemed really vacant.

Annnnnd we loved the MC Dj, really got you warmed up and kept the energy, could’ve left the intermission but Sabrina probably needed an adrenaline boost

From what I hear they will never share a stage again. My friend who worked on the production says the entire thing has been nothing short of a nightmare. You wouldn’t be able to tell tonight though. It was a great show and they seemed solid as a three. Although I’ve heard a row broke out after sound check.

I don't want to be a hater, but this whole comeback exposed just how threadbare their back catalogue actually was. I would say they had four memorable songs, and that's as an R&B adjacent Millennial homosexual.
 
Yikes that’s a bit shit. Wasn’t Sabrina the one barely conscious on stage at the gig?

What a strange decision to do this.
 
This is all rather CHAOTIC :D What is ALESHA saying? Probably nothing as she is getting her BGT and soon to be The Voice UK cheque!
