I remember living in a houseshare around the time the big album was big and in the next room the v v angry girl who used to play it SO-VERY-VERY-LOUD. There was no GPS, no Madonna sponsored shagging APPs, I was not adequately know to the cock as yet and it all just felt very Very HOSTILE. So I'm glad to see she's gone QUITE MAD.

She spoke a couple of years ago about working on an "international album" - but no mention of any new music since then...
 
What the hell is an international album? :D have all the other releases so far been specifically CANADIAN?

I’m always agog at the sheer Bontempi-nightmare that is those mixes on the rare occasions when I dig that version of the album out.

I swear it must have been produced by a stoned gay intern with a preset and 45 minutes before going to print.

During a new episode of of Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper, Alanis shared new details about her upcoming holiday album. The legendary singer-songwriter said the album grew out of recording a holiday song each Christmas over the past several years.

“As they were accumulating, and I love them so much, I love singing these songs,” Alanis said. “I wrote a couple of new songs and we just made a record.”

Those originals are titled “To an Empathic Christmas Time” and “Christmas on the Dance Floor.” Alanis called the album a “labor of Christmas love.”

I thought she already made a Christmas album fairly recently??

Or was that an EP?

Anyway I hope she knows that we’ve already got an Earnest Gutteral Wailing At Christmas Time album thanks to Annie Lennox and I’m still not over that 20 years later.
 
She's released one or two Christmas tracks each year but not a full blown collection yet

Every single track has been a DUD though. And not even in a ironically iconic Annie Lennox way.
 
Someone should probably tell her that her voice isn't really suited for Christmas songs... But oh well as long as she's happy and maybe finally gets it out her system...
