Sunday has got his tromboleese

MORNING LOVES!

I am on my way home after three weeks of athletics and Saint Etienne and excited to be finally heading back. I’m on the train, with the sun streaming in, with a beaming smile on, reflecting on the past few weeks. It’s glorious.

I have also had three dihydrocodeines, (always take one more than the packet says, one less than will kill you), which MAY have something to do with the above. Unconfirmed. :D

Making DAAL but been thoroughly put off the thought by my recipe instructing me to wash my BEANS “until the water runs clear”.

The bottom line about Mary’s decor has me cracked up

Well it is absolutely VILE here with rain BUT yesterday I got a glimpse of the GORGEOUS Autumn with the surrounding trees all changing colour. The rain can fuck straight off though.

I can't believe it's only midday. I'm not long home and it feels like evening to me. Could really do with my mind and senses being purified right now.

Treated myself to Wasabi sushi and a mini bottle of wine from Waterloo for the last leg of the journey home, but forgot to find a cup, so now happily eating with fancy chopsticks and swigging wine out of the bottle much to the disgust of the woman opposite me :disco:

I've enjoyed throwing on a cardigan of an evening at home.

I did debut a new jumper at work last week, but it was way too warm. And I had an embarrassingly old t-shirt on underneath it so had to just suffer.

I did the same. I just suffered the heat, because it's a lovely jumper.

I’m bringing back SHACKETS this year. I’m sure they’re out of fashion but I missed them last year and I won’t make the same mistake again.

I'm on a break from my final weekend shift. I've been doing weekends off but mostly on for the past 100 years so it's a bit of a moment for me. Have the sake in the fridge to crack on with afterwards.

I'm still wearing mine. And I probably will be in 10 years time if both of us survive that long

Shackets just give me the vibe of grubby, poor Scouse boys from the early ’80s.

I've got a couple of them from a few years ago. They are very much an extra layer at home rather than a wear out thing, though.

I have done VERY LITTLE today and have loved every minute of it. Spent most of the day lounging in my PJ’s with my phone on do not disturb and feel all the happier for it. HERMIT LIFE FOR THE WIN.

We've had a long overdue DECLUTTER of the lounge and McDonald's is on the way. Already decided I'm having a bath later. Feeling very basic and content right now. :disco:

But genuinely think the piles of mess were genuinely GETTING to me a bit, so figuratively and literally feels like a weight has been lifted. Need to do some other rooms some other time, but taking today as a victory 🙌

Having a tidy is such a weight off. I've got to the point where we have crates in our middle room to store table junk for my own sanity.

Urgently need a trip to the tip. We have drawers, a vacuum, a broken fan, broken iron and other shit I'm desperate to dispose of.

The tip used to have amazing vinyl but SADLY NO MORE. It’s therefore somehow lost its lustre.

I haven't been since my mate gave up her van. A shame because it's deeply satisfying launching dead bits of furniture from a height into a skip.
