To add:

Moopy is a successful forum partly because we're a democracy. Next February we will celebrate 23 years on existence, and not all similar spaces can say that.

Elections should take place at regular intervals, regardless of whether there appears to be an immediate need for one.

Yes, i agree. We need one of the current @Moderator team to kick off an Admin ballot.

(admin should always go first, so losing admins have a chance to become a mod)
 
I was just about to ask what was needed. Then I thought I'd look at the last admin election and see how it was run.

I mean I think people need to be engaging a lot more on this site otherwise it's fucked. Even if that means violently disagreeing with each other aka the fun bit. The last few weeks have been dry as fuck. I called Kate Bush an owl today and it's like tumbleweeds. Fight me. Once it's gone it's gone - so use it people. Use it or cry bitter tears in years to come at all the lols you could have done had if you'd only made a tiny effort.
 
We've had low points before. People have always come and gone. We survived. I don't feel especially worried about Moopy like I did pre-2020.

I must say I'm worried about @ZenGiraffe quitting. Kate isn't on 24/7 and Indie often disappears for two weeks at a time.

We can't force people, but I would say @big ron would be an excellent admin. He's stable and an experienced mod.
