But to lose all my senses - that is just so typically me!

The TOTP repeats have got up to this, and god, what a work of TOWERING FABULOSITY :disco:

I've taken to waking up to it in recent days and those opening synth stabs really are like taking a GLITTERED SLEDGEHAMMER TO THE FACE

Moments of LESS-HERALDED TOWERING FABULOSITY

- The GROWLS AND TRILLS throughout which, in the highly complimentary words of noted ABSTRACT SOPRANO Diamanda Galas, BARELY EVEN SOUND HUMAN (shoutouts in particular to the cat-like "nnnyEAHHH" three seconds in, and the spiralling, dizzying, orgiastic upward loop dipping into the back of the mix from 2:43-2:45)
- the work of assembled BVs on "wishing for HEROES that TRULY exIST"
- "I CRY WATCHING the DAYS!"
- "aww, you SHOULDN'T HAVE"
- the RAINING FIRE of ALL THE HOOKS COMING TOGETHER SUPERCHARGED OVER THE COURSE OF THAT SUPERB FINAL MINUTE
- the backing vocalists deep in the mix YELLING THE CHORUS LINE in staccato rhythm like their LIVES DEPEND ON IT for one last go-around from 3:09 onwards as part of the above

:disco: :disco: :disco:

I would say I enjoy it even more now (a 10!) than when it was released (probably a 9). It has earned its iconic status.

It stays a 9 because I hate that spoken word interlude

Otherwise it would have been a 10

Effortlessly tremendous.

The fact they pretty much rewrote Baby One More Time and had the cheek to call it this still makes me :D
