JADE - Second album era

JADE Thirlwall has recruited the superstar producer who turned Raye into a household name to make her second album.

Mike Sabath, who worked on both of Raye’s albums, including hits Escapism and Where Is My Husband!, has confirmed the project is nearly done and sounding “crazy”.

He previously had a hand in her first single Angel Of My Dreams and other tracks on the Little Mix singer’s debut album That’s Showbiz Baby! but said he is far more involved in this follow-up.

From what Mike’s said, there won’t be too much longer to wait.

He said in an exclusive chat: “I am doing the whole new album and it’s insane. I’m so excited about the Jade music.

“That first album, we were finding things. This album from the beginning, I’m doing the whole thing, so it can be nice and unified and cohesive. She’s got more confidence and it’s just so fun.”

At Sunday’s MTV VMAs, which you can watch back on Paramount Plus, he said of their progress: “We’re pretty far.”
