I think there might be about to be a children's birthday party next door. I guess they'll all exhaust themselves pretty quickly though? Or it's like everything is in 1 hour blocks these days and they'll be off to the next thing.

Depends on the age and parents. Never underestimate the whirlwind nature of a 3-year-old off its tits on haribo.

I remember when Ron Jr was small and we were having a bbq, went into his room to find it trashed as if it had been in an earthquake. He was stood atop a dresser with kids chanting his name like he'd conquered the world.

I'm spending a few thrilling hours dissecting a very important agreement and have already found a sneaky clause that could have just pilfered 15% without my knowledge. I have a headache and I don't want it.

I'm fucking exhausted from counselling two friends all of yesterday afternoon.

I woke up with horrific tinnitus, I'm blaming the flu jab yesterday.

Yesterday, when I was doing my online shopping order, five items went out of stock in the forty minutes I was putting them in my basket. They weren't even things that were on offer but basic, bog-standard things ... mixed peppers, beef steak mince, chicken fillets that I replaced with chicken breasts that then also went out of stock, red seedless grapes and Cravendale milk. I wonder how much will be "unavailable" when I actually get the delivery later.

When spawn was little we had a birthday party for her in the officer's club, little disco with some games and food. The little girls were all absolute treasures but the little boys were all just scrapping with each other on the dance floor so we ended up playing sleeping lions and musical statues over and over again. That was the last time she had a party like that.

Ten items unavailable on my shopping delivery due between 7 and 8pm. So I've just ordered a Whoosh delivery for 6pm containing nine of the unavailable items because Whoosh comes from a different store and the unavailable items are important parts of the meals I'd planned for this week.

Bought a gourmet box for xmas, lets spunk the redundancy up the wall, also launched a fresh glass of prosecco across my laptop - its not even 6pm - i need restraining.

Halfway through the delivery window they cancelled my Whoosh order. Apparently it's going to take 3-5 working days to refund me, despite the payment going to them the moment I clicked "checkout", I got the notice from the bank that my card had been debited before I got the order confirmation. So I've got a shitload of veggies being delivered later and no sodding meat to make them into meals!

Mr F has retreated to his room and put the headset on because my voice is currently ultrasonic, only dogs can hear me. :D

You should be able to insist on capital punishment for them.

I definitely should because things only got worse with delivery of the "big shop" at 8pm! "Somebody" forgot to load the box of my freezer items on the van and all bready-products were in the bottom of the box of tinned goods, squashed, despite me putting separate notes on each bready-product saying "please load in top of box so doesn't squash".

It's just lucky I can "afford" for them to have my £78 of refund for the next 3-5 working days, I know plenty of people for whom that would be a big problem.
