It’d be too easy to just post dance music as the mid 90s was rife with banger after banger.

But 1996 was also responsible for one of my all time favorite songs, an absolute trip hop classic that never fails to give me the feels.

Totally! There was so many re-releases in the mid/late 90’s that beefed up the original house version (for the better) but perhaps if I was clubbing 6 or 7 years earlier I might have felt otherwise.
 
I still feel ICKY listening to Michael Jackson songs these days, but if I was ever to make an exception it would absolutely be Stranger In Moscow. His masterpiece.
 
You're Makin Me High and then Unbreak My Heart - Toni Braxton was such a superstar for a while.
