how are wild card and free hit advantageous in a double game week? only triple captain and bench boost would be, no?

I guess free hit can work as an alternative if you've already used the other chips. You just fill your squad with players from whichever teams have doubles. It's usually caused by matches being postponed because of cups. Might be better to free hit on the blank game week it causes instead, you'll probably have at least a few players whose teams have gone on cup runs who don't have a league game one week.
I wildcarded to set up my bench boost for the double gameweek near the end of last season, don't think it's any use apart from that situation unless you're out of the others and confident in the fixtures coming up afterwards.

I've had four really mediocre weeks in a row where I've fucked up the captaincy and basically got the same score every time. I keep expecting Brighton to drop off any time soon and it's just not happened yet, Gross and De Cuyper have both been amazing. It surely won't last!
