Is it the best song of the decade so far? If 2020 counts as the beginning of the decade. As special as it was in the midst of all that was going on, I think it holds up.

One became two, and then everyone was out for themselves
Everyone was pitted against each other, conflict ruled the realm
All our devotions and temperaments are pulled from different wells
We seem to easily forget we are made of the same cells

It's one of my favourites from the album as well. The line about keeping the light in your eyes ablaze used to get me quite emotional.

It's a great song with complex but grounded lyrics and a very sweet message. It's had a bit less staying power for me than say Nemesis and Losing The Plot which just keep getting better

Yes, if this were 1998 Ablaze would the be the Singal with all the play on the Box and Nemesis would be the album deep cut all the fanz go ape for.

SO GOOD. I remember listening to the live version over and over well before it was announced it would be on the album. Love it.

Yes, lovely track for sure, but veers a little too close to cute and whimsy in melody and musically for me to have had it ever on repeat. I do prefer her darker sounding than this and there are many tracks on this album I prefer but it has and deserves its place, aye.
