Angel Olsen - Aisles (Eighties Covers EP)

Due out next month, with Billy Idol, OMD and Alphaville covers to join the two below. I assume the treatment for those will also be make more dark and miserable.







I think Safety Dance is the more instant. The cover picture is very striking, I've ordered the vinyl from Amazon, as it was only thirteen quid:

Eyes Without A Face is just about as gorgeous as I hoped.

I want to like this, but I just find it all a bit unnecessary That I'm quite familiar with most of the tracks doesn't help either (does the world really need ANOTHER Gloria or Forever Young cover? )

Anyway, nice of Angel to be so prolific at the moment but can't see myself returning to this much.

I just played this and enjoyed it. I like that the musical arrangements are very different without losing the melodies of the originals.
