I wish I could say "She's just there" but she hasn't been off the radar for the last 5 years, give it a rest.

I own albums, I adore quite a few songs but I don't find her essential. I'm CONFLICTED.
 
She's clearly a narcissist and hell-bent on terrorizing the globe, but I do appreciate her talent even if most of the music is kinda rubbish.
 
I was obsessed until around 2015. Then I just stopped listening.

But I like her well enough and find it funny that so many of her songs go something like...

There was a girl and she was sad ... and that girl was ME
 
Yes, more than anyone else who has had a "do you like..." poll crop up today. Except maybe Blanka.

I like her music and her work ethic is pretty admirable, but I wouldn't be sad if she took a break for 5 or 10 years.

I love her tenacity and the fact that she girl bossed her way to being bigger than almost any pop star around BUT I think she could use a bit of a cooling off period to rejuvenate her writing for the next album.
 
I'm a big fan of Taylor but I agree she should take a break and maybe that is something that will happen.
 
I have found the absolutely no promotional work she's doing for the current album interesting. She rocked about for the first week or two and then fucked off home to commission the odd remix and scratch her arse.

I'm still a fan. One mid album does not a career collapse make.
 
It's just mind blowing how many albums she's released over a 20 year period. And then you also have all the re-releases too!
 
The re-recordings were the masterstroke of her career. That's the way in which she changed the music industry because clauses about when you can do that used to be a minor thing that no-one quibbled and now they are a major part of any deal. Everything else she's done has been a matter of scale, that was a genuine industry gamechanger.

I have a feeling she's getting another album together now that she can release in absentia.

Never knowingly listened to a song the entire way through. It's just all a bit beige and unexciting. I think she seems perfectly nice though, but I don't think money makes someone ordinary spectacular. And there's nothing wrong with being ordinary either.
 
Today Was A Fairytale and Fearless popped up on my Spotify last night, and it reminded me that SOMETIMES I do like her but ever since 2023 she's become unescapable and a right old annoying cunt.
 
I was anti-Swift when she properly blew up around the Shake It Off era.

Then I grew to like her during Folklore/Evermore and dipped into the back catalogue a fair bit.

Nowadays the blatant megalomania and the increasingly samey songwriting has put me off again.
 
There are no good billionaires. Yes, even pop star ones! And her total silence on so many massively important issues over the past couple of years has just confirmed what a privileged rotter she is.

As a songwriter and performer she's fine, but breathtakingly overrated.
