Do you still carry cash?

At the moment, yes I have some cash in my wallet as I went to a concert with my mum at the weekend and she pays me back for tickets in cash. But in general no, if I'm going somewhere that has a preference for cash (such as the barbers), I tend to withdraw the amount required on the way there.

A couple of months ago I turned up at my local Sainsburys to find a member of staff on the door, letting everyone know that due to a technical issue, they were currently cash only. I thought they might as well have CLOSED EARLY for all the good that is these days.

In London, generally NO

I've just got back from a US holiday though and they desperately need to GET WITH THE TIMES! Most bars/restaurants still don't have contactless so you can't use Apple Pay and you still have to give them your physical card for them to take away and come back with a receipt for you to sign. COME ON LADS SORT IT THE FUCK OUT

A little bit, mostly for when the card machine is down at the pub or for the bill at the Indian.

Unless I'm passing a homeless person, in which case I don't carry cash any more.

I still have some cash at home, just in case I need some to pay a plumber or an electrician.
There's also a restaurant we like and their card machine miraculously seems to be broken every time we go in.
Basically cash for tax-dodging businesses, card/phone for everything else.
I also need some cash whenever I go home to Germany because smaller shops still don't offer card payment or won't let you use your card unless you're spending a tenner or whatever.
