Been in the early 2000s nostalgia phase again lately and been listening to the groups created in the various versions of Popstars through the years. Obviously there’s Girls Aloud, Liberty X and Hear’Say, but which ones do you like and remember from that time?
I love this No Angels banger. One of their best singles
Then there’s L5 from France and they were a tiny bit edgier and in a way a predecessor to Girls Aloud
Then there’s Bro’Sis and they were like a mix of S Club during the Seeing Double album era and Liberty X. Their debut album is still fab and Ross Antony (the blonde guy in the group) is now living his best schlager queen life and is generally beloved in Germany.
Then there’s NonStop, who repped Portugal in ESC in 2006, but this single of theirs from 2 years prior makes their ESC entry look and sound like a total joke...
And then there’s Bardot from Australia and this is my fav song of theirs. The chorus of this is amazing.
Which ones do you like? Tbh, I kinda miss the whole Popstars franchise as I think it was more raw and real, unlike the scripted shenanigans of The X Factor.
