On A Night Like This remains one of the most deluxe things she's ever recorded. It could be Gina G, Cher or Dannii (hell, it already was Pandora and Anna Vissi), and yet it's still luxuriously Kylie.

Confide In Me is my other pick. The Cult of Kylie lies here surely. A total anomaly. Too detached and practical ("hit or miss" among other options to consider) to be depressive or conveying desperation, instead it's pure aura and euphoria of evocation. I used to appreciate more than enjoy it, but right now I actually think it might be her best song. It's a disarming statement of intent. And surely at the time there was absolutely no warning that she had this up her sleeve.
