song is very different for Florrie! I need more TIMES with it
 
Malibu is not grabbing me on first listen but it might grow with a few plays. Kinda feels like it has a run of the mill, already done that feel within the catalogue.
 
the absolute Xenomania gay panic throwback of this. a hook at every turn, far too charming to resist.
 
there is fucking crack cocaine in this song. it's relentless!

her entirely new timbre on the verse is also a bit of a GAG.

Obviously it is all relative in Florrie streaming terms, but Malibu has more than double the streams of The Times.
 
pretty good fuzzy moody remix. the song is just such a fucking smash.

sounds incredible. the album is gonna be better than the last one I think.
 
I'm feeling very positive about it too, there seems to be more confidence around things this time. The last album had some excellent songs, even though it felt a little caught between the old Florrie sound and a bit of a hangover from some of the less interesting tracks she dropped in recent years.
 
is Malibu still on spotify etc. for you guys? it's "unavailable" on my Qobuz (but the remix remains)...
 


More chilled than Malibu but she really decided to put all the hooks in for this album.
 
love this. the verses especially are top notch and the final minute is excellent. so much room to breathe when a pop song is 4-5 minutes long, thank god we're moving back in that direction.
 
I do hope she’s doing some shows later this year. Would be great to see her :disco:

it's not going to challenge Warrior or Malibu, two SOTY contenders for me right now, but what a lovely song
