Ms Ron is currently getting ready to bugger off to London for the night and its doing zero for my motivation. Really glad I've got a call booked in for 4pm today.
 
Oh yeah there is another reason I dont check my work emails at night, because I drink wine and then get snarky in reply to cold emails from companies like Revolut

I put in a formal complaint with EE last week, first time I've ever really complained about anything. But literally every time I tried to upgrade my phone contract, they tried to sell me broadband, even when I eventually, very rudely had to tell them i didn't want it and never would. They kept asking me why I didn't want it, what possible reason could I have that meant I didn't need THEIR broadband :manson:

They are awful for it, aren't they? I had the same last year. Even when I explained we had free broadband they wouldn't let it go.

But I've been with them for my mobile since they took over Orange, and was with them since they took over Wanadoo or whatever they were called, and have had far fewer problems than friends I know with other providers, so really don't want to change.

So bad, and so rude about it. I mean, I'm happy saying no, but some people might not be and would feel really pressured.
I'm the same, have been with them for 13 years, but I have actually now changed to Talk Mobile. EE don't offer any decent packages which include usage in the EU, and their sim only deals are way too expensive.

Talk Mobile I got 40g data, unlimited calls and Texts and a fair usage policy in the EU for £6.95 a month (sim only). Seems like they run off Vodafone and 3, so far the signal has been fine.

The simple answer is "What part of the word "no" are you having difficulty with?!".

I think I did say "I don't understand why you're not listening to me, I've said no". He still continued 🤦🏻‍♀️ I ended the conversation.

Only once did I have to say "Are you calling me a liar?!" - that completely throws them because you're accusing them of something that could get them into serious trouble if a manager is reviewing their call. When they deny they're calling you a liar you just say "Well you must be because you clearly don't believe the answer I gave you".

I had Sky try to fine me for not returning my broadband set when I moved despite them not sending me any PACKAGING or even a return address.

I haven't been too bothered by the short days so far. But it always hits harder in January.

I've managed to get 2 friends into reading this year, I started them off on The Housemaid by Freida McFadden, now they're obsessed with reading.
 
I’ve spent the evening booking some trips next year and starting the ESTA scheme. However the most problematic trip is a one nighter to Swansea that I have to do. It appears it’s easier to fly to Bristol Airport and bus it from there than flying to Cardiff Airport and then getting a train/bus. Anyone made the trip?
 
Easier to bus to Swansea from Bristol airport rather than Cardiff? I'd be surprised, although I've got no experience of doing it.
 
Yeah, looks like you can get a bus from Bristol Airport direct to Swansea whilst Cardiff means you busing into the centre and then getting another bus or train so looks like a bit more of a kerfuffle to save not much travelling time.
 
I'm surprised. Bristol airport isn't particularly well connected to Bristol itself. And I know Cardiff airport is the Swansea side of the city, but I suppose that's no use if you then have to head back into it to get another bus out.
